We stayed at the Lincoln House with 3 other couples over a long weekend and we can thoroughly recommend it. It is walking distance to the centre of Cardiff and very close indeed to Sophia Gardens. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the accomodation very comfortable especially the lovely Edwardian lounge. Definately one of the best breakfasts I...

Loved my stay here two weeks ago. Lincoln House is a wonderful find -- a lovely old world hotel in a beautiful, residential area of Cardiff just steps from a gorgeous park and easy walking distance to everywhere you want to go as a visitor. Warm, welcoming and accommodating staff, a fabulous breakfast, a very clean, quiet room with a...

Staying here for one night during our UK tour, we were confronted with a very small room. We were told to expect it, but were still taken aback somewhat. The shower/toilet was also small, however, one must realise that it is originally a house converted into a B & B. That aside the bed was comfortable, we had a ground...

Thank you for your review, our compact double rooms can be small to some people, hence the name, however there are king, super-king and four-poster rooms available also. The shower has a lever that you can adjust to have it as powerful or as slow as you want. Many Thanks, Lincoln House, Cardiff

The Lincoln is well, located and comfortable if a bit old fashioned. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is fine (even though "over easy" does not compute). Our room was very generous, but unfortunately supplied with only a VERY HOT doona and a blanket with no sheet, which did not make for a sound night's sleep. Noisy...

Thank you for your review, yes to some we may appear to be old fashioned as we are a 114 year old Victorian property and try to keep the hotel within that period, whilst having all the mod cons needed in this 21st century. An over easy egg to us means an egg flipped over and cooked both sides. The...

our room was beautifully furnished, quiet and great beds. It was up three flights of stairs which didn't bother us, and we were asked if we wanted help with our luggage. The staff are very helpful, nothing too much trouble for them , and they even recommended a fantastic Italian restaurant which was nearby. It was our first time in...

The Hotel is in a beautiful part of town, convenient by foot to everything in Cardiff proper. The room was lovely. The breakfast was unbelievable. However, the staff is what made the experience. They were all terrific but, David in particular deserves a special acknowledgment.

My wife and I plus four friends enjoyed a great stay in this excellent hotel. Although essentially B&B accommodation, it was in every other respect a very comfortable and perfectly located hotel for exploring Cardiff and surrounding area. Cardiff Castle and shopping area is only a 15-20 mins pleasant walk through Bute Park alongside River Taff. The staff were especially...

The Hotel is on a very leafy street with a park located behind it which will bring you directly to Cardiff castle within 15mins. The rooms are spacious and clean, however can be very warm at night even with the windows open and the hotel and no lift. Breakfast is excellent with options of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and welsh...

Highly recommended. Attending a function at the SWALEC stadium, this privately run hotel could not have been more conveniently located. Efficient and friendly welcome, good room and great breakfast. We were recommended to go for a late lunch at the Cricketers a few yards down cathedral road which didn't disappoint.
