Spent two very comfortable nights here for the rugby World Cup. This delightful B & B is an ideal location, very close to the central train station and opposite the Millennium stadium. The owners are very welcoming and the rooms were large and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble, I ordered soft boiled eggs, and... More

I was fortunate enough to get a room here for two nights during the rugby World Cup. I couldn't believe my luck as it was right opposite the stadium and the price was very, very reasonable. I really want to commend this place as they didn't hike up the prices during such a busy time whereas other lesser places were... More

Stayed here during the world cup rugby for an All Blacks game. Things I liked: no enormous price change like other hotels that had tripled (or much worse) their prices. Just a very fair price. Also: awesome location. Near train station, near centre, near stadium, all 5-10 mns walk. Typical full english breakfast, good room. No wifi, no credit cards,... More

I've been there with my 12yo son to attend the rugby match between Wales and Fiji. It was our first time in Cardiff. Good position, clean and wide rooms, really good cooked breakfast. Jayne is really kind and adorable. We had a good time and we look forward to meet her again.

A real gem of a place! Stayed overnight during the Rugby World Cup. Very friendly reception, nice room with TV, tea/coffee and a washstand with sink. Had a shared bathroom, which was fine for me. All very clean and well maintained. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Great location within an easy walk of the city centre and, most importantly, about... More

Female solo traveller. I stayed recently for rugby world cup game. I was in a single ensuite room at the top of the house. Room was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. Location was excellent for the milennium stadium. Five minutes walk from Cardiff central train station. I usually stay in 3 star hotels but would definitely use Anchorage... More

I don't understand the negative comments from the previous reviewer, they must have stayed in a different hotel than the one I stayed in!!!! I spent a weekend there and the location is excellent, only a stones throw away from Cardiff City centre. The owners are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Overall... More

The Management pictures for the Anchorage Hotel on the Fitzhamon Embankment Cardiff above must be for a totally different hotel. They do not resemble the shabby, bare, old fashioned accommodation I stayed in. I am furious that I booked this hotel based on these photos and reviews. The only true photo is the tourist one with the Anchorage Guest House... More

Regular visitor to this establishment. Family run business, Jane and Dianne are a dream. Any room more than acceptable. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Very good value for money. Just a short walk from all Cardiff's attraction especially for sports lovers, shoppers and night life. Home from home.
