Stayed here for the rugby weekend with a large group. The women who run the place were lovely and the place is very convenient for going into town. Can walk within 20mins. The rooms however are in need of a refurb. Some rooms have no windows and some have no en-suites so be careful when booking. Cleanliness wasn't a priority...

A large group of us stayed here for a hen weekend, the location is pretty good and we didn't expect too much from a place that accepted large group bookings. The moment you stepped through the door you could smell old cigarette smoke embedded in the carpets, and a slight animal/greasy smell. The decor is very dated, but that isn't...

Stayed in this hotel as part of a hen weekend in Cardiff for the rugby weekend. Location is brilliant for easily getting into and out of town. Parking is a challenge but when you do find some it is free, so you can't really argue with that. Our room was ok - clean, plenty of room. Only niggly point really...

Ok so.. where to begin?! Firstly, I was quoted £35 a night for my room- I turned up and it's actually £45... great. Secondly- there is no heating in my room so am currently sleeping in my coat- it's freezing. Thirdly, there is no wifi at all in the hotel- what century are we in?! Fourthly the walls are very...

I stayed at this B&B in order to attend a reunion in Cardiff. The price caught my eye as most hotels were asking £150+ for a night. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn that although advertised, there was no parking on site. The unhelpful receptionist/weekend porter, simply informed me to park outside on the road (which was full and...

Stayed here on a weekend as a couple. We could have paid twice the price to stay in an upmarket hotel but preferred to use the cash saved on the evening meal and stay here instead. It was basic but provided everything we needed and there was plenty of hot water in the shower too. Good location - a pleasant...

I stayed at St Hilary's while visiting Cardiff for a wedding. The staff were polite, helpful and even advised me of the best time to leave, bus and train to catch in order to be at the wedding on time. The room was comfortable, warm and had fresh towels and linen. Breakfast was delicious. I disagree with anyone who would...

I found this little B&B delightful. Its not fancy. The TV wasn't huge and had questionable signal, and I couldn't get a wifi signal. That said, in a very pretty 19th century welsh building, the room was very sweet and homely (also old fashioned), as were the staff. Comfy bed and a very clean shower (always a bit scary sharing...
