Paid over £25 for what can only be described as a mediocre breakfast with awful waiting service. The waiter couldn’t understand why we wanted milk in our teas, took over 15 minutes, leaving our teas to cool to an iced tea. When our toast eventually arrived, it was chargrilled and freezing cold. Again, the waiter couldn’t understand why we wanted 2 pieces of toast with butter when every other table had 2+ pieces. We stayed in a junior suite on floor 20 and have had a nice experience apart from the breakfast. It’s a shame something so simple can go so wrong as it will stop us ever coming back to stay. Don’t offer breakfast if simple requests cannot be met.
Went for a treat. Bar and restaurant closed which nothing was said when we booked which was part of the reason for going to a more expensive hotel. The TV was faulty in the room. The 4 usb charging sockets by the bed did not work. Heating in the room was so noisy that it woke us up in the night.
Appalling customer service. Dirty room. No COVID rules adhered to. Like a Club 18 to 30 hotel! Lifts not working. Just horrendous. Receptionist rude. Duty manager incompetent. We travelled over 2 hours to stay here from mid wales and we are both so upset by this experience it was just so so awful
Paid for a superior room with city view to find out that the bed is 2 single mattress’s pushed together, food & drinks are way over priced. Paid £13.40 for a pepperoni pizza to find out it’s a £2.50 shop bought Chicago town pizza! Not much stuff to do within the hotel and also it looks like they don’t facilitate guests who stay at the hotel with parking so had to leave my car over in St David’s for 2 nights. Do not recommend anyone to this hotel, waste of time and money.
The room and staff were very nice and helpful. The executive lounge was enjoyable with a good range of drinks and we received good service. Was however very disappointed with the breakfast. A cold pre made bacon and egg roll and a croissant each is not good enough and our service here was not very good, with us not even being offfered drinks. Besides this ‘covid safe’ breakfast, would definitely recommend.
