Telephoned ahead to warn that we were running late, but the proprieter was still there when we arrived. Splendid, comfortable room and clean bathroom. Excellent breakfast also served by our host. Courteous and helpful he helped ensure that we had a pleasurable stay.

We booked here for an overnight stay while visiting relatives in Wrexham, despite mixed reviews the ability to have a room for 3 with Breakfast for £80 seemed a good deal. On the positive – the room was of a good size, the hotel had parking, the owner was friendly and the cooked breakfast was fine. On the negative side...

We arrived at the hotel to be met with a tired run down looking frontage it had climbing plants obliterating the hotel signage the external decorations were very poor the letter box was hanging off it looked dreadful. I entered the hotel it was dark dingy and smelly, not a place I would lay my head, there was no one...

The traveller photographs pretty much sum up the state of the hotel. 'Faded glory' is the expression that comes to my mind. I have to say though, that the owner was very courteous and I enjoyed my stay here. The room was warm, comfortable and everything functioned well. It is in a quiet location and that counts for a lot...

I stayed here for a week and was intending to stay longer but my stay got gradually worse over the week. Owner was friendly to start with but the longer I stayed the grumpier he got. The place was a bit shabby but the food was ok. Fittings in some of the rooms were broken, I carried all my luggage...

just spent 2 nights in this hotel, the staff were very welcoming , the room was clean and tidy and the bed very comfortable. A good breakfast included in the tariff and parking right by the front door. A lovely little garden if the weather is good, peaceful spot to relax. The area is very quiet, I definitely recommend this...

Clean and tidy hotel if a little tired and in need of decorating. Lovely manager and staff who couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast is a cooked English, very nice, and/or a selection of cereals and fruit. Great place to explore North Wales from.

Stayed here whilst I took my daughter to an interview nearby. I chose this based on mixture of price and style of accommodation (I stay in hotels et al an awful lot of time). Some of the reviews concerned me prior.....but....It was spot on! Checkin was simple and the bedroom was basic but with all the amenities. Lovely welcoming bar...

I travel a lot for business. I think that often the impression I take away about an entire place has been based on the cab driver who takes me (or the bus etc.) from the train to the place I'm staying...and the experience of the hotel or B&B. Based on my experience of the Belmont Hotel...I'd move to Wrexham ;)...

Don't stay there...Room not even close to one on the website and when asked to switch was refused. Rude owner, outdated room, dirty floor, garbage and mattreses in coridor. The only good thing is free wifi and parking and close to centre. The hotel feels like ghost place with weird owner, picture of half naked youg boy on the wall,...
