This is a charming little cafe. The soup is always tasty with home made bread. Plenty of cakes to fuel up on if cycling past here. Sandwiches and a whole load of other food to choose from too. Very enjoyable and we'll call again :-)

Popped into this great little tea room in the off chance of breakfast before going to the summit. Full English and Welsh rarebit. Delicious All cooked to order and fresh. The relaxing environment in a tea room full of interesting things to see. The owners are friendly and were helpful with information on the climb. A very relaxing and delicious...

It is a very quaint café with Dutch owners. A very friendly welcome was given to our group of eight. We only had a drink and used the facilities which was spotless. We have visited about seven years ago and it was if time had stood still.

The Ty Mawr at Rhyd Ddu is the perfect place to enjoy an authentic break in Snowdonia. Emma and Hubby were perfect hosts,warm and friendly but not at all pushy. They helped us make the most of our stay. The Dutch apple pancakes for breakfast are divine. The Snowdon ranger route is a smashing one to take up and down...

We stopped off at Rhyd Ddu during a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway and went to Ty Mawr for lunch, I settled on the Welsh rarebit with bacon, which was very tasty, and my husband chose the tuna bagette, which he enjoyed. We then went for a walk to the nearby lake and then returned for a pancake, still...

Fabulous tea room run by friendly people. When we stay at a cottage in the village, we end up there most days, as it is so good. My husband and children tell me all the other food is delicious but I always end up ordering the pancakes which are sublime!! We will definitely return!

Lovely little tearoom we visited after a walk. Great menu but only had time to stop for tea and cakes, which were delicious. Helpful and friendly staff too. Hope to have a longer visit in the future to sample the other delights on the menu.

this is a lovely tea rooms and they serve gluten free pancakes. they were so nice I went twice and had the same thing. Also had GF welsh cakes. There were lots of choice on the menu including breakfast, dinner and homemade cakes. Can highly recommend a trip here.

My wife and I had a very pleasant three night stay at Ty Mawr.. A very friendly welcome from the owners, and excellent breakfasts (full English or Dutch pancakes, or other variations). Comfortable en suite bedroom, and you can see the station on the top of Snowdon (on a clear day!) from the bedroom!. It's really convenient for a ride...

Delightful tea shop with Dutch / Welsh treats - very difficult to chose from such a lovely menu. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we sampled - the Welsh Rarebit was delicious , as was the bara brith, scones, speculaas, poterjees (?) ,Welsh cakes, Parkin ,etc etc. Highly recommended.
