What a find. Truly an 'occasion restaurant' with simply exquisite views of the river maximised by the clever extension of the dining room allowing a lovely view from most of the tables. We started with drinks on the lawn outside and moved indoors once our order was ready. The view from our table was simply stunning, as was the service... More

Brilliant hotel - food and staff great and beautiful location. My only criticism was the bar prices are extortionate - after the first night we went out and bought our own booze and had a drink in our room. Went for a wedding and they did a really good job

We had been told of this restaurant some while ago but, at last, we had an opportunity to visit, along with a group of friends. A pity the weather was so dreadful and the river in flood. This however, did not detract from a wonderful dining experience. Ambiance, service and food all scored an excellent in our book and we... More

This hotel is set by the river away from the town centre so it has a wonderful air of tranquillity. The staff were really attentive. The rooms were comfortable but could have down with a face lift. The restaurant was great with tasty food - and large portions. The walk along the river was just the right length before diner.... More

My husband and I have stayed here 3 times now and each time doesn't fail to deliver. We have booked the hot tub room which offers absolutely amazing views of the river and countryside. At night due to the area being un polluted by light we enjoyed bubbly in the hot tub looking at the shooting stars above. The staff... More

Stayed at Craig y Dderwen for our annual holiday for the seventh consecutive year and as always its standards remain consistently high. We were grateful for the welcome and assistance on arrival after a long drive and the staff carried our luggage up to the room for us. Our dog is most welcome and she makes her own friends with... This is a lovely hotel in a very pleasant setting over looking a river and meadows with a nice garden. A nice terrace area outside of the bar to enjoy the sun. We arrived early but were offered the use of the hotel bar/lounge area which we took advantage of whilst the staff got our room prepared. Our room was... More

This is my second visit this year and it feels just like coming home with friendly welcoming staff, a clean comfortable room, great service and excellent food not to mention the stunning location. Even though the weather was awful for July I thoroughly enjoyed my five day stay and hope to be back again later in the year this time... More

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the views are really nice, excellent breakfast choice and the view of the river when having breakfast is brilliant, there are plenty of sights to see in the local area and plenty of places to eat and go shopping
