This was very disappointing. Please note we are not your usual habitual complainers. This review is very fair. We were hungry too; hungry eaters are usually forgiving. The bread starter was literally stale. Three steaks were tasteless and too tough to eat. The chips were not properly cooked. Mixed grill was abandoned. Dreadful. Wish we had gone elsewhere. The waitress was very good but no amount of service trumps poor food. We paid £140 for 1 hors doeuvre 4 main courses and 5 drinks. Way beyond the pale I’m afraid.

Have stayed here many times and doesn't dissapoint. Stables annexe rooms are great value for an overnight at £95 (room only) and are clean, comfortable and a reasonable bathroom. Staff on reception are friendly and helpful as are the resteraunt staff-we ate in the Grill due to covid restrictions and good value (try the Tandoori chicken). You should book for dinner as it is getting busy in ByC. If not having breakfast try one of the cafes in Llanberis and go on to Bodnant gardens for a great day out (The Laburnum Arch is out at the moment).

Lovely location within a beautiful town Our room was in the stables and detached from the hotel, noise from other guests was extremely loud in the corridors The room was small and basic as was the bed which was small, uncomfortable - the springs could be heard with every movement in the night We ate in the restaurant which was a pleasant experience although our booking was lost; the staff accommodated us and the food was nice. The location is great and overall the stay was ok Thank you

Stopped at the bar for a few drinks before dinner. Lovely welsh lager with an option to sample first. Super service and lovely setting. Felt safe as socially distanced and temperate checked on arrival. A really nice bar to stop for a drink in Betws
