Nice enough hotel with clean pleasant rooms but my main gripe was that despite advertising 'free Wi-Fi throughout' on their website, they actually only have very limited Wi-Fi in the reception area. In a location where you can't get a phone signal, Wi-Fi is key, but we could not use our phones or iPads at all in our room or...

We stayed in the Saracens Head for three nights over the Easter weekend, with a 6-hour walk up Snowdon on the Saturday and a 4 hour walk in the rain from Beddgelert on the Sunday. The town is a great base: all the buses go through here and the highland steam train, although there were no bus services to Caernarfon...

What a wonderful place. Visited with 6 children and three adults at lunchtime. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff are fantastic and made us all feel welcome. A truly beautiful building and we will definitely visit again

Superb Staff & Service Décor of both our room and public areas were lovely with quality furnishings and Spotlessly clean. Great food, creatively presented and a good choice of drinks and local ales - 'Faithful Gelert' was good. The ambience is very friendly and relaxing - nothing seems too much trouble Highly Recommended. Thank you Hugo and All the team...

Whilst passing through Beddgellert with work we decided to stop for a lunch break and so glad we did. The staff at the Saracens Head were very friendly and attentive, menu varied and interesting, making it difficult to choose! The lunch was delicious and well presented. We didn't have a lot of time to look around but the hotel was...

We spent two very comfortable nights here on a winter savers break, our room was clean and very cosy. All our meals were very good. The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend.

After a lengthy and enjoyable walk in the forest nearby we opted for a spot of lunch at the Saracens Head. It being a Sunday the menu was limited to Sunday lunch as I initially opted for the chilli meal which was displayed on the menu board above my head..I was told that this was not available on Sundays..So why...

Found this fantastic place by accident a few years ago and have gone back several times for a meal ever since. Today had the best roast dinner ever. Staff cannot be nicer and you can take your dog in. Fabulous place 5 STARS.

Great place to stay. Had everything you could possibly need. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was snug and cosy and clean and the food was very tasty. Loved the open fire at night to sit and relax in. Would be a fantastic place to stay in summer with its lovely beer garden too. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We turned up at around 14:45 with nowhere else open in the village and had a great afternoon. Everyone was very welcoming and we enjoyed a few drinks and a dinner from the lite lunch menu. We managed to find seats around the open fire and settled in for a few hours. Lovely meal - great ambience - really good...
