We had the family en suite room at the top which was comfortable and met our requirements for the night before a ferry crossing. Bathroom a bit tiny but we managed ok and we had a good nights sleep. A bacon and egg toastie for breakfast was enough to set us on our way.

During this, my third visit to this harbourside B&B, the proprietor informed me that he had found a purchaser and that ownership is likely to change hands in early September. He intends to take his railway memorabilia with him, but, apparently, new management intends to continue current policies for the coming year. If that happens, guests will continue to receive... Thank you for your comments. I am certain it will be business as usual with a few improvements too. I will still be keeping a hand and you may not have seen the last of me! I will re-stock with fresh towels beforehand. More

I was told that it would cost nearly £100 for a one way train trip to London at station. The owner being into trains did his magic and found that if I booked a later train would save me nearly £70. He arranged this and even collected the tickets for me! The extra bonus that I had a free morning... More

En-suite room is comfortable but a little small and dated. Very clean with a new carpet. Friendly host who moved his own car to provide on street parking close to the hotel for me. Quality ingredients for breakfast. Very quiet part of town. 5 minutes drive to ferry port. I would stay again if I was using the ferry.

We were given a room, with our ''own'' bathroom, however, we had to go down some stairs and up some some to it. It was nice and clean though, as was the bed, room and towels. The breakfast was huge, and very nicely presented. The owner was friendly and informative. We were able to park outside, which was a bonus.... More

Made the booking for this asking for a late check in (0100) and if there was any parking for my motorcycle. I had a call back in minutes telling me that it was all ok and leaving a key for garage for me. On arrival everything was as expected and I got a great night sleep before breakfast and moving... We were greeted by the lovely owner, Carl, who was extremely helpful. There isn't much space to mark outside but he tries his upmost to ensure everyone can park. He was extremely friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough to help us and told us all about his delicious homecooked breakfast and agreed a time the following morning. The location is... More

Good location, clean rooms and great breakfast. Beware of comfort rooms as this means shared bathrooms which are not very accessible and not clean. Our room was in the attic and quite a few stairs to get there.

Thank you for the positive comments in first sentence. The term "comfort room" is a term used from booking.com agency for categorising a non-en-suite room and they clearly specify this on the room description and booking form. We allocated a room with private bathroom (bath next to room) which we noticed you locked up for your own use. The bathroom... More

My wife and I stayed here for our day in Holyhead and loved the accommodations. The owner was communicative with us and made our check-in time work around her schedule. The bed was big and very comfortable which we appreciated after our day of exploring the park. The shower and toilet is shared amongst our floor of rooms but that... More

We chose Wavecrest because of its convenient location, good value, and the reviews on here. They were right - it is an excellent place to stay for a night or two. The room we had was very clean and quiet, the host was very friendly, the bed was very comfy, and the breakfast was very nice. What more can you... More
