Very Grubby, there should be a health and safety sign out in the street erected by the council saying ' abandon hope all ye who enter here'. Everything was dirty, the bar/reception area was full of cigarette smoke which could be smelled up in rooms. Bed sheets were stained. Sign says B&B only there is no breakfast, you'd be a... More

It is the worse B&B I have ever seen... no, sorry: probably it is the worse B&B in the world! I booked a room there for businnes purposes a few months ago. When I arrived I was shocked! The place was desolate, it seemed abandoned. My room was cold and more than dirty, it was filthy. I couldn't sit on... More

Booked in late as nowhere else was available. Everything was dirty, the bar/reception area was full of smoke which could be smelled up in the rooms. There was a sink in the room and a shared bathroom across the hall; although everything worked, and there was toilet roll, evidently no cleaning products had been anywhere near the place in a... After missing our ferry and the travel lodge was booked at 3am we checked into this place. It was gross and smelled awful! You could tell the showers had not been cleaned bc of the hair and soap bars left in it. At the time we thought that this would be the better option than sleeping on the ferry port... More

Late ferry from Ireland to Manchester and decided to overnight here. This is without doubt the most horrid, dirty and disgusting property I have ever stayed in. The toilets are absolutely filthy, no toilet tissue or towels, the showers have not been washed or repaired for years and the beds are dirty and unchanged. I will be taking this issue... More

Now I've stayed in some bad hotels in Amsterdam & Blackpool, but nothing quite as bad as this! it's a dump... i know its a 'no frills' £20 per night jobbie but even so..... would it have killed them to run the hoover round first or open a window? i doubt it!! My advice..... if you're staying as a couple... More

Can I recommend anyone who wishes to stop at the Mount Hotel (or should I say Mount of kack Hotel!!!) not to bother. We only stopped here as we were sea fishing in the day and this place was the only place which didn’t need a deposit. As with sea fishing they can be called off due to the weather... More

I wouldn't normally leave a review, but after my experience at The Mount Hotel I feel compelled to warn people off this dive. It was obvious that it wasn't going to be anything special at £20 a night, but on arrival I wasn't prepared for this dump! If it hadn't been that I was in a group of friends and... More
