We have stayed at Blackthorn Farm a few times before getting the ferry back to Ireland. We stay in a family room and facilities were perfect. Beds very comfy and we all slept really well. Breakfast was really delicious. Very convenient for the ferry terminal. The views are beautiful and the location is very peaceful. Richard and the other staff... More

Stayed 2 nights and this is the 3rd trip here. The site itself is lovely and well kept. There is a little shop on site that sells a few bits. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. You can normally get flat pitches but much of the out edge of the site is slightly sloping, but nothing to bother the... More

Just back from the most lovely weekend camping at Blackthorn Farm. Firstly, the scenery is just stunning- the most beautiful views of the sea just right in front of you. The campsite was very quiet despite it being peak season and we had a whole field to ourselves. The campsite owners and those in reception were very helpful and friendly.... More

Just returned from a last minute camping weekend at Blackthorn farm. The campsite is well kept with very clean facilities and the owners are very welcoming giving us lots of local tips of where to visit. If you are in a campervan or motorhome there are grass or non grass pitches, we requested a grass one which we were very... More

I stayed in the B&B with my 3 children in one room and my mum and dad in another. The room (Llandwyn) was lovely. Spotless and tastefully done. We had a walk around the campsite, which is beautiful. Absolutely loved the wildflower meadow. Would certainly camp here in the future. Milk available for guests was hugely appreciated for my youngest's... More

We camped at Blackthorn farm for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. Wonderful views from the camp site, clean facilities including a fridge and freezer to share, family friendly and all staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely little shop to get some essentials, large supermarkets nearby (short drive away), and great breakfast if you don't want to make your own.... More

This is a wonderful location to camp. Views looking southwards towards Anglesea and the mountains on the mainland. Could not be beaten on a sunny week. The facilities are very good, always clean and well maintained. Staff in the office and cafe were all cheery and helpful. Can't wait to go back again.

My boys and I stayed here having previously camped at Blackthorn Farm, for a long bank holiday weekend. Everything was just perfect! The room Trearrdur View was spotless, had everything we needed, very homely and plenty of room for the three of us plus our pooch. We were afforded a truly warm welcome from everyone we came into contact with... More

We stayed in the Llanddwyn Room. It is very nice. The people here are so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and made this stay a great value. The views of the coast from the property are stunning!!! You will be glad you came!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Blackthorn Farm is a family run Bed & Breakfast and campsite. Set in 18 acres of outstanding beauty, Blackthorn Farm has stunning views for everyone, whether you are camping or staying as guests in one of our eight Bed and Breakfast rooms. If you prefer to stay in self catering accommodation, we have a number of options available to you, both on site and in the Trearddur Bay area. We are within walking distance of one of the two Blue Flag beaches Trearddur Bay has to offer, and there are a multitude of coves, rock pools and smaller beaches all along the coastal road that leads in to Trearddur Bay, which is less than two and a half miles long. We are licensed to sell alcohol and we are no more than ten minutes drive away from several popular restaurants and pubs while maintaining the quietness one would expect from a much more rural location. The area itself is popular with people with all sorts of hobbies, from water sports to horse riding to bird watching and has lots of wonderful, well mapped walks to explore. ... more   less
