We stopped for lunch at this beautiful Inn, inside was like travelling back in time when food was first seen in Pubs, low drinking tables with fixed benches and stools, we ordered our meals mine a famous steak pie, my wife a fillet of hake with tempura batter. Yuck what came was a pie which was good but the Hake... More

The Britannia sits on a sweeping curve with a beautiful view down towards the town. Our room was compact, but not too small. It was clean and nicely decorated. The shower appeared recently renovated. We were comfortable and slept well. The restaurant and pub is warm and friendly with several beers on tap, including cold Guinness. We had dinner and,... More

Lovely place set off the road with stunning views and pretty outside seating area. Our room although very nice was a little on the small side would of preferred a larger room but it didn't spoil our stay the room was spotless with nice comfy bed. Excellent breakfast with good service and choice. Staff were all friendly. A lovely stay.

Very welcoming, good service, food well cooked, traditional roast and good value. Lighter portion option appreciated. Nothing not to like when you rock up on a wet Sunday afternoon. Plenty of free parking. A few steps up to access loos.

We dropped in to have a lunchtime birthday meal, and being midweek we found the resturant was quiet. Our order was taken promptly and the food was excellent in quality, quantity and value for money. We will certainly come again even though it is an hours drive away.

For anyone interested in historic buildings rich in atmosphere, you can't do much better than the Britannia Inn. Built in 1462 the Inn is minutes away from the Medieval Abbey of Valle Crucis and the ruins of the ancient castle, Dinas Bran. We visited both landmarks and made our way into beautiful Llangollen which has the amazing Dee River running... More

We stayed here for two nights at the end of April..........The owner, Ann, gave us a warm welcome and ensured that we were settled in our room, which had an amazing view down the valley. Breakfasts were generous and served by very friendly staff, there was a well stocked bar and the dinner menu was imaginative, food locally sourced and... More

good quality food at reasonable prices. the menu and bar are a bit limited, the service can be a little lax and the decor is dated, but overall its a very pleasant relaxed experience. the view is fantastic !
