Stayed overnight, sorry it was not for longer but will definitely return if in the area in the near future. Comfortable bed in room 114 overlooking the river. Excellent full English breakfast, served by friendly staff.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Struggled to find the car park which turned out to be a piece of waste ground opposite and then discovered I couldn't have breakfast as they don't start serving until 08.00 and I needed to be gone before then (what's this the 1970s?). The room was in a poor state, requiring redecoration and with a...

Comfortable clean hotel. Views over river. Reasonable rates. Excellent breakfast, no evening meal but an excellent pub, called the Corn Mill, over the road. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of places to visit nearby plus a steam train ride and a horse drawn barge. The aqueduct and horseshoe falls are well worth a visit.

Overall a decent place to stay for £50 single room and breakfast. I suspect the hotel is run on a tight budget which often happens with these faded and jaded old hotels. Nice to have a hot bath after walking, as many places only have a shower now. Reasonably clean room, lovely view onto the river from the window, comfy...

Hotel booked for wedding in the area, beautiful location on the River Dee but very very disappointed. Very tired hotel and seriously overpriced rooms. Bathroom was a disgrace with dirt and grime in the sink, above the shower, the shower head only filtered out of a couple of holes. Bath towels - more like tea towels, it was joke. How...

Absolutely great location, but that's where the good news ends. Room (superior double) was basic. Windows hanging with cobwebs. Really uncomfortable sofa bed as a settee. Two light bulbs blown. Not very warm. A couple of cheapo things on the tea tray. No extra blankets or pillow. The breakfast was OK if you wanted a full English. Not much choice...

This is a nice 220 year old Hotel right next to a bridge that was built in 1346. The room was very clean and enough for two people. It has a bar and dinning room that face the Dee River. The bar area , nice size room, is the only area to connect to the internet. They do have a...

To call the room superior is a joke and then to charge £99 a night for the privilege of staying in it is even more hilarious. The room was dirty, cold, very dated and like the rest of the hotel in need of some serious renovation. The shower could only be described as pathetic and the level of dust that...
