Good size room, efficient friendly staff, great food in restaurant. Ideal centre for walking from and getting to the canal and all that entails. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would certainly go again, and recommend it.

The stopped here on spec one night and found the staff really friendly and helpful. We did not eat there in the evening but the breakfast was super, much better than some four star hotels. It is in a lovely location and is an old building which would explan the very tired room which was in serious need of redecoration.... More

Visited recently to enjoy a meal with friends. Hotel is in a perfect location and is no doubt extremely popular. We were allowed to take our dog into the bar area where we were also allowed to eat our meals as the restaurant is understandably out of bounds to dogs. The meals were lovely with generous portions. The staff and... More

Was starving and busting for a wee and this place was the first stop. Food was what you'd expect but nothing special. The Pepsi was flat. My veggie burger had no salad or relish and the chips were dry. But £16 for 2 meals and drink each what would you expect to be fair.

Stayed for two nights in the family room. This room overlooked the river and the Steam Train. The noise of the river and the Steam engine makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The room was really spacious will plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. Room was spotless and well stocked with fluffy towels and... More

Visit for my birthday with real ale steam train trip. Hotel room (overlooking the river) and bathroom was on the small side and we have stayed in better for the price. Breakfast was good but the meal we had on the first night wasn't great - we didn't eat there again.

The height of the summer, early August and it's hard to find a decent eatery in Llangollen. The Corn exchange was fully booked. We have eaten there before and that would have been the best option. However, after looking at several other restaurants/pubs we ended up at the Bridge end. Sticky tables, old fashioned decor, service reasonable, but not very... More

Nice rooms, poor staff beer and food over priced. Beer suitable for putting out a fire. Nice tables and chair to have a drink and a smoke weather permitting on the roadside at the front. Nice seating areas inside. Has potential. Shame about the rest.
