This is a nice modest country house in some very nice grounds. The staff were friendly and ok .the room was clean and very adequate with a nice bathroom. The restaurant was nice and had the feel of a large country farmhouse rather than a hotel. The food is above average and the service is typical hotel service. (OK but... More

I thought I had a good deal through travelzoo, how wrong was I. First impressions were good. Picture perfect house, set in amazing surroundings. A small pond with ducks, geese and swans to view from outside whilst participating with a drink. Again, entering the reception area, it looked faultless. Then the problems started. I arrived at 2:30pm exactly. Check in... More

We had such a lovely stay at this hotel that we were only sorry that it was fully booked for the rest of the week. The room was spacious, comfortable and overlooked the delightful view of the grounds, lake and church. We chose the tasting menu for dinner and can only say that it was food to die for! Would... Converted country house, with spectacular views of Welsh hills, and peaceful view over pond to charming little church. Can walk round grounds and kitchen garden. Staff very helpful and professional. Bedroom comfortable, good size, nice view. Great dining room, all very done up, and food excellent for dinner and breakfast, some fruit and veg coming from their kitchen garden. Only... More

My hubby and I took advantage of the travelzoo offer and would certainly recommend. Lovely night, really friendly happy staff and wonderful food. We'll be returning. If you go for the 7 course taster menu we'd advise you skip lunch :)

We visited Llansantffraed Court for an anniversary lunch. It was very quiet - in fact we were the only people lunching. Normally that would be uncomfortable but the kind attentiveness of the staff, plus the fact that we knew chef was also preparing for a busy evening made it just fine. The food was good, especially the main courses; my... More

We visited on Sunday for one nights stay. The grounds were lovely and food was very nice, compliments to the chef. However the level of customer service was shocking. We were waiting to be seated for afternoon tea and at least 3 waiers walked past not even a hello. We finally got seated after standing there for 10 mins. Again... More

What a disappointment!! this hotel is trading on its position, views and grounds. Our "executive room" was tired, mirrors not cleaned. Double glazed panels had misted, looking shabby. Stale smelling bathroom.Stained ceilings. Not good enough!!! The carpets in the hallways were stained and grubby around the edges. We thought the food was poor, fine dining not quiet making it. We... The food is amazing, congratulations to the chef and gardeners. The hotel has possibly not been updated since 1980. Our bathroom smelt of urine, it was spotless but reeked. Possibly the ancient old shower curtain. We kept our wash bags on the floor as there was no shelf space. We paid extra for a larger room and bed. That turned... More
