A group of 50 stayed for 3 nights on a ballroom dancing weekend and had a great time. The food was very good, the rooms very comfortable with great beds. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Three coach loads arrived on the second day but the management was so good that all the dining etc went off without a...

This was a flying visit as due to traffic problems on the way to the Hotel, I arrived quite late, that said, they do stop serving dinner at 8:45pm which was unfortunate as I arrived at 9pm. However, they did do sandwiches afterwards which was ideal for me after 9 hours driving, but was the next best thing. The staff:...

Nice enough hotel friendly receptionist but I felt it lacked atmosphere especially as it was Valentine's Day. I asked for a room with a nice view upon booking but was dissapointed as the view was the roof of the swimming pool which came with builders shouting across to each other very loudly! Our room was 230 and had a double...

The staff here are immense. Really engaging and attentive and they went to the enth degree with guests/visitors. Lots of overseas staff from Poland, Romania et with impeccable customer service an friendliness. I got a bit smashed (sorry management for lowering the tone with this review!) (I was at a posh hunt ball) and a member of staff walked me...

Just had one night here on business, so didn't see much of the hotel. Had a great rate as it was last minute and out of season. Check in was friendly and efficient. Room was practical, firm but comfortable bed, nice shower. Free Wi-Fi worked well. Buffet breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Didn't have an evening meal at the...

Booked an afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Table was decorated nicely on arrival. Candle was lit for us. Plenty of lovely fresh cakes and sandwiches. We were placed at a table near the window which we liked. It was very relaxing and we happily sat at the table for a long time chatting and taking our time .Very nice...

We had a most enjoyable four night stay at the Celtic Royal and the food was splendid. For any Coeliacs this is a good choice, as an excellent menu with many gluten-free options. The hotel is elegant and full of history and has a superb indoor pool and gym. Our room was perfect, although some of our companions in singles...

Beautiful hotel set in a stunning historical building. The staff cannot do enough for you and are helpful in all aspects. The room was a bit on the small side but perfect for a single traveller. Cleaned throughout every morning, plenty of storage with a large wardrobe, cabinet, two bedside units and a desk with drawers.
