Stayed at this travel lodge, roughly central for visiting Pwhelli and Llandudno areas over 2 days. Room was basic, spacious and clean. Building refurbishment work on upper floor which didn’t disturb too much but banging was evident. Didn’t arrive until late (9pm) on the Friday night. The chap on reception was soooooo helpful, friendly and his customer service was 10/10. PARKING - there are two car parks but max stay in each one is 24 hrs. You have to move your car the the alternative car park. Download the pay-by-phone app, much better. Parking charge was £5.05 for 24 hours. The furthest car park away is about 400 yds walk and not well lit. Would definitely stay in that location again. If your a walker then walking from the travel lodge to Caernarfon castle is not far around 15 minutes. Marina and sea front location was also an pleasurable walk around. Don’t worry about finding a place to eat as a variety of dining experiences. If you want Cantonese to general pub food to a chippy (next village along) all available in that area.…
Travelodge gave us an excellent deal. They welcomed us warmly and gave us a spotless room with a comfortable bed. The only thing which was unhelpful was that there were no charging sockets near the bed. But overall an excellent stay.
The smell of drugs and noise from outside all night was unbearable absolutely awful didn’t even want to walk round the room in your socks and the drains in the bathroom room smelt like raw sewage the room was dirty with dirty sheets on the bed! No one to speak to about this when we left wouldn’t recommend again! Stay elsewhere.
Stayed here one Saturday night. Room was ok but when we arrived back in evening after a walk our floor stunk of cannabis. Reception was informed and said others had complained but they couldn’t find where it was coming from. They would only have had to knock on a few doors - it must have been like fog in the room. Reception would not register our complaint. Drugged people smoking in a no smoking establishment - massive fire hazard but didn’t do anything about it.
Comfortable stay although pillows and mattress a bit too hard for our liking but would visit again. Excellent location for visiting the castle and 2 minute walk for a lovely Morrisons cooked breakfast. Parking is located 2 minute walk from hotel site and only 5 pounds per 24 hours.
