On my visit to Bangor, Wales, I. Chose to stay at the Garden Hotel. Family owned and operated by a nice Asian family that gives to the Hotel that feeling you experience when you visit your grandparents, everything was extrimelly clean and comfortable, the bed was excellent, the food, is supposed to be great, I did not try because I... Overbooking in Dublin saw us spend a few extra days in Wales before the ferry; Bangor ended up being a great place to relax in the meantime. The university town is large enough to have everything you might want, but still feels small enough to enjoy. The Garden Hotel is located within sight (<100m) of the train station. We booked... To be honest I was doubtful as it didn't look wonderful outside. The staff could not have been nicer, more welcoming,or helpful, and bid us farewell in the same manner. The room was small but big enough, proper coathangers in the wardrobe, a big plus- I hate hotel hangers- very clean and cosy, bed comfy. I would not hesitate to... More

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident. I often struggle to find a place that serves vegetarian food. More often than not I will only have 2 items to choose. There were 4 of us together and I was able to eat the Crispy Aromatic Duck course as they did a terrific Soya version. It was so tasty. Then I... More

A great little place to stay before heading up to Snowdon and beyond. The rooms are basic but clean. The chinese restaurant is conveniently located (!) and tasty. Just opposite the train station so easy to get to. There was no problems with noise either and the staff are friendly.

Friend was checking in for a group of 4 of us last weekend & asked the simple question of whether or not breakfast was included. The receptionist went crazy - saying of course not & then proceeded to say if we weren't happy we could leave. We aid "no worries, just asking" at which point she went into some hysteria... More

My partner and I use The Garden Hotel for its restaurant only. As we are both vegetarian, sometimes we struggle to find a romantic night out with nice food and lots of choice, but this hotels restaurant has a variety of genuinely delicious meals from starters, mains and deserts. The staff are incredibly welcoming and the restaurant itself has a... More

Excellent hotel with all good amenities and so close to the Railway Station. The rooms were well furnished, hot water and comfortable beds and clean linen. The hotel kept our bags for the day as we could not take them with us and nothing was to much trouble. The hotel could not offer us Breakfast as the Chef was not... More

I needed a place to stay while my mum was in hospital and this was recommended to me, the room was clean and well maintained but what impressed me was the staff, nothing was too much trouble and they always had a smile and a wave, they made the stay thoroughly stress free and made me feel at home, I've... Very close to the train station - bang opposite. But bus station is at some distance. Not many restaurants nearby - you need to go to High Street. Very clean room. Small but clean toilet. You can get Chinese food for dinner.
