3 of us stayed here recently and we all agreed that it was a great boutique hotel. The rooms are a little on the small side but they pack a real punch - imaginative lighting, and a shower that will get you ready to start any day. If that's not enough the Breakfast Scotch egg was the best way of... More

Spent two nights, we had a second floor sea view room. Quiet and very clean. Friendly hotel staff and service people. Breakfast and dinners were in the Welsh style. Local beers and local ingredients went into the fine dining experience. While having no laundry service there are two coin operated facilities within a few blocks.

Excellent location, parking not so bad as you get 4 hours either side of the free overnight period outside. NOT suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs and our small rear facing room became very noisy early morning (staff moving things, washing machines) so not a great sleep. Breakfast average despite some unusual items on the menu. RocketMan87 has... More

Cosy small restaurant with attentive helpful staff. Brought three friends here for dinner. Had a lovely table with a view of the promenade. Two of us had the sirloin steak which was beautifully cooked and presented, whilst the third person had the cod. The only inedible part of the meal was the "chips". We can only assume that they had... More

Beautiful hotel with top customer service. The rooms have been lovingly decorated with natural materials, slate, wood, stone etc. Right on the sea front with good views from large bay windows. Excellent mod cons, generous room sizes and a very comfortable bed. This is the second time I have stayed here and it's my first choice for Aberystwyth.

Positives: - Recently remodelled rooms - Wonderful location on the promenade - Friendly staff - Nice restaurant (for included breakfast) downstairs Negatives: - Rooms are of usual small UK size - Parking is an absolute nightmare (there is no one area where you can park for more than 24 hours within easy walking distance of the hotel) - My room... Had a lovely stay here. Fortunately for me they had a room available as my other hotel had double booked my room so I found myself without accommodation for two nights. Very friendly staff, very professional and polite. The room was spotless, and completely immaculate. Would definitely go back again. The location and food are fantastic to.

This is a very nice, quaint boutique hotel right at the edge of the curving bay. Its location is great. Our room didn't have a view, was a bit compact for us, but nonetheless was quite acceptable, quiet and comfortable. The bed was a comfortable, the bathroom spacious and clean. There is a very warm ambience to this hotel which... More

We stayed at Gwesty Cymru for one night. It was a boutique hotel on the promenade. We had a rear facing room which while small was clean and updated. The modern room was decorated very tastefully. The bathroom was outstanding with a huge shower. The breakfast was tasty and provided good value.

Booked for a meal here with friends, we were not disappointed. Everything was fresh, local and delicious. Highly recommend. It is rather pricey but it's worth it as a treat. Service was also great. And some good choices on the food and wine menu.
