The hotel is situated on the promenade and a ten minute walk from the station. A taxi ride from the station will only set you back stg 3.5. Room was of good size, clean and good bathroom facilities. The seaview rooms come with a nice bay window and you have an unobstructed view of the bay. Breakfast was good with a full welsh breakfast served and we also had dinner at the hotel which was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were just great. Thank you. The only issue is that there is no elevator.

Stars were lost due to hubby finding stool at the upper part of the toilet bowl, and was kept awake a lot for be night listening to our neighbours snoring... Otherwise, lovely customer service, great views and nice breakfast. Lots of stairs so if you have poor knees or hips, ask for a lower room.

My friend and I cycled from the top of Wales to the bottom and were lucky enough to come across the Richmond Hotel for one of our stopovers. Other than being very friendly and helpful with advice about where to eat etc, as we'd cycled for 10 hours - (5 of these being in the famous Welsh rain) - we arrived completely drenched and they took all our wet clothes (after we'd changed!) and put them in the drying room for the night, so they were dry and warm for our next 100 miles! The room was simple but clean, warm and comfortable with what I think a 4* room should have - oh and had a beautiful sea view. Importantly for us, they also had a garage to store our bikes warm and safe (you know how precious a man's bike is!). In short - lovely place - lovely people! Thank you Richmond Hotel!!

We had a short stay here whilst visiting our son at the university and booked the suite, consisting of 2 bedrooms and a lounge area. The double room and lounge had great sea views and were nicely furnished. Although we did not have the evening meal the menu looked good with some great choices. Breakfast was amazing. As a Coeliac I am used to limited choices, however there was a large selection of fruit, nuts and seeds and two types of gluten free breakfast cereal. Our waiter had a good knowledge of the condition and the need for care to avoid cross contamination. I was also informed that I could have had gluten free sausages. We will definitely stay here again.
