One of the best places to sit and watch the sea whilst having a drink and some quality food. Portions are huge and tasty .... StFf are friendly and even wrapped my baguette to take out as I couldn't finish it all. I recommend the goats cheese and beetroot sandwich it's amazing

Four of us stayed here one night for our son's graduation, 2 rooms. Both rooms were facing the rear of the hotel. The nights were peaceful with no traffic or guest noises even though the hotel was fully booked. lovely Victorian terraced hotel, nicely furnished with comfortable beds. The breakfasts were full welsh with everything you would expect including a... More

Our room was spotlessly clean the staff very friendly and the Breakfast excellent. The service was quick and atentive and nothing too much trouble. We had a great stay on the hottest day of the year and found a huge fan in the bedroom which helped to cool the large spacious room. We would recommend this hotel and look forward to... More

Visited on the back of a camra member as the standard of real ale is excellent. Looked forward to a light lunch but have to say I was a little disappointed. My scampi was heavy and chips were hard work. Portion sizes a little too big and bread stale. Garlic bread with cheese very good. They are looking for a... More

In case you hadn't realised, it's great. The views from the rooms across Cardigan Bay are fantastic; falling asleep to the sound of the waves against the beach across the promenade has to be the best way to drop off ever. There was a slight problem with the shower the first morning, but we mentioned it at breakfast and it... More

Lovely location with great staff and service.. The only problems are the bathrooms,, ours, was pokey and small with a shower that looked like it belonged in a caravan not an 85 quid a night hotel. After 1 person had showered, you had to wait 30 minutes for the water to drain out of the bottom before you could shower.... More

We booked two rooms through Booking.com, we looked at the photos and the beds looked great, fresh, clean and modern. It escaped me as to why they did not show the rest of the room and the bathrooms. Once at the hotel you realise why ... the bathrooms need serious up dating, in our bathroom we had three cord operated... More

This is one of those older style beach front hotels which are legion around the UK. It has been kept in reasonably good condition. Our room was a good size, comfortable with ocean view out over Victoria Terrace. The staff are friendly. There is a lively bar scene, which does not intrude into the residential areas. Breakfast provides multiple choices... More

We visited Aberystwyth as part of a week long tour of Wales. We were very pleased with our choice as it was the last part of our holiday and the part we were least sure of! In fact the hotel was great and well placed at the end of the promenade near Constitution Hill. In spite of reservations we parked... More
