The Holdfast Cottage is a charming hotel that dates back to the 17th century. My wife and I went to the hotel for an evening meal. There are two small cozy dining rooms. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. We had wild mushroom and chicken soup with homemade crusty bread. For the main course I had filet... More

We were a party of four from Ireland visiting Cheltenham for a day of racing and the general area for a few days sightseeing. Holdfast Cottage Hotel proved an ideal base in the most peaceful and charming of settings at very reasonable rates. From the moment of our arrival it was clear that owners, Stephen and Julie, were totally committed... More

A lovely place out of the way but close to the Malvern attractions and other locations. The food in the restaurant is particularly good, backed up with good selection of wines and beer. Service from mine hosts is friendly but not OTT. Only drawback is dated plumbing in the bathroom.

A friendly and very helpful welcome. Set back from a not very busy road but within easy reach of so many interesting places. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the meals are to die for - try the four night break for a good deal.

Only a few miles from Malvern and its glorious range of hills. Down a short tunnel of trees just outside Welland, this quaint cottage covered in wisteria, in its own tranquil grounds, warmed our hearts immediately. Hosts Steve and Julie made us feel very welcome from the very beginning. All the food was ample and freshly prepared exactly how we... More

We stayed here for just the one night and wished it could have been longer. Only downside for me was the no dogs policy, so we had to leave ours at home. The resident dog Milly was a joy and gave us a lovely welcome. Everything was spot on, spotlessly clean and a tasty breakfast. Hosts couldn't have been more... More

Booked here for 2 nights and found it to be well situated and in a delightful location. Close to the Malverns and Upton it provides a good base for seeing the area. Rooms are well equipped including TV; Free Wifi; Hair Dryer; Hot drinks facility. Breakfasts were more than adequate and served in delightful rooms overlooking the spacious gardens.

Fate lent a hand.forced to stay here by the upmarket B and B nearby who cancelled on me after booking , I found this through booking.com. It was the best thing that could happen. Quaint. Charming. Lovely hosts. Beautiful grounds. If you want to wake up in a charming room with the sound of birdsong and have a breakfast cooked... More

All about this hotel was very good. From the moment i met the Hoteliers to the moment i vacated my room the whole experience was great. Nothing was too much trouble, from the evening meals i had to the time i wanted the breakfast (earlier than advertised) the hosts were great. The rooms were "spot on" and i will call... More

We held a 70th birthday party at this lovely hotel in Malvern. We live in Malvern and wanted to find a place which had enough rooms to accommodate our family. Steve and Julie were extremely hospitable and provided an afternoon tea, a superb three course dinner and bar. Tea and coffee was readily available. They have an amazing chef who... More
