We recently spent two weeks in the West Wing which is a charming holiday cottage, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The cottage was clean, well-maintained, and easy to find, making our arrival stress-free.

The location is ideal for day trips, with London just 30 minutes away by train from Maidenhead. We also loved that there were plenty of parks nearby and a boat hire just five minutes down the road. This gave us a perfect balance of exploring and relaxing.

Our kids absolutely loved the swimming pool, especially during the hottest days of our stay. The trampoline and zipline were big hits too. We found the West Wing to be cosy and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Caroline, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we booked. Her warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to return one day and highly recommend this cottage to others looking for a memorable family holiday.

Our stay at Sheephouse Manor Cottages was one of the highlights of our annual pilgrimage to the United Kingdom. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, with pleasant gardens and surroundings, and we felt very much at home. Caroline was a perfect host—always available but discreet.
We managed to fit in visits to Windsor Castle, Eton, Henley, Cliveden House, Cookham and Marlowe, plus walks and restaurants along the nearby Thames River. Fast trains to London from Maidenhead meant we could get into the city with minimum fuss.
We look forward to returning to this part of the country and staying once again in this property, which we highly recommend.

Such an amazing place and we loved our stay here!
The accommodation was perfect for what we needed, fully equipped, nicely decorated and comfy beds so we slept really well.
As you will see from the photos, it is set in the most beautiful grounds! There is so much space and the whole family loved playing in the pool, going on zipline and seeing the chickens. They also have 2 beehives which was really cool and fun to show the kids!
We really did just love being in such a stunning setting and being able to walk around such a beautifully maintained garden!
When we did venture out, the surrounding area offered lovely options like riverside walks and some great pubs and restaurants close by.
The owner Caroline was so friendly and was so helpful when on the rare occasion we needed something, she sorted it out for us straight away!

I would really recommend staying here!
Thank you Caroline, from Matt and the fam!

We stayed in Cottage 1 for over 2 weeks. There were just the 2 of us so the space was fine. The setting outside is beautiful and calm and with plenty of parking spaces for all the guests. Caroline, the owner is kind and helpful but never intrusive. Security is good at the cottages as Caroline walks around outside the cottages quite a bit during the day, watering plants and generally keeping an eye of things.
The cottage is supplied with pretty much everything one needs though the cooker is pretty old. But as a microwave is supplied we just cooked our food that way.
We did have problems with the shower in our cottage and it probably wasn't until we were nearly due to leave that we worked out how to get warm water to the shower which otherwise ran freezing.
The Manor is pet friendly so guests need to be aware that during your stay there may be the sounds of barking dogs.
Rental for the cottage was reasonable and we certainly appreciated having a place to stay while work was carried out on our home.
The weather was warm during our stay and it was very pleasant to sit outside of an evening in the pretty little garden outside the cottage. Nights are quiet so a good night's sleep is pretty much ensured.

I stayed at Sheephouse Manor with my dog for nearly 6 months and it was a fantastic experience.
The cottage generally has everything you need, but on the few occasions there would be something I’d need but couldn’t find, Caroline would sort it for me immediately!
The grounds are great and I was able to have my niece and nephew stay with me. They loved the zip wire and football goals in the back along with saying hello to the chickens!
The area is very peaceful, calming and relaxing with no interruptions. Not too far away in cook ham, there are some great restaurants and the river is close for a nice walk.
If I ever need to stay in the area again this is the first place I will try!
If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing break from the madness of the world this is a great place to stay.
Thanks for everything Caroline.

I stayed at cottage 5 for 2 months and I felt very home from home!! Very comfortable ( especially the bed) There was a large patio area and garden to enjoy when the sun shone! Caroline was always prompt in dealing with a few minor issues but at the same time discreet! Great local bus from outside the cottages and lovely walks along the river Thames nearby! Would definitely stay there again. Thank you again Caroline!

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. My friends and I stayed for two nights to celebrate my birthday and we loved it! The host, Caroline, was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and we found the kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking for a group of us. Beautifully decorated and clean upon arrival the whole set up was perfect.

Will definitely be coming back!

We stayed here in the west wing of the Manor House, we were a party of 4 adults, 2 children and a baby. We were told this would be good for our group by the owner. The upstairs was lovely and lots of room with 3 double bedrooms 2 en-suite and a family bathroom. The downstairs was a small kitchen with a table and sofa. It wasn’t big enough for all of us at the same time and as were meeting family we had to have over at different times.
In the evenings and late in to the night we could hear every word and argument the owners had in the manor next door, this was a bit annoying when we were trying to get the kids to sleep at night. The stairs were a serious worry with the children and so narrow and steep I had to watch my own footing!
The paddock for the kids was lovely, with chickens and a trampoline and football goals, which looked over beautiful countryside. I would stay there again but not in the west wing.
