Location was so romantic but we didn't get to enjoy it as our 7 year old was so sick. As she was awake at night, she woke up out 2 year old who my husband had to ask reception for milk for... the guy on reception was so polite and accommodating. He got us warm milk for her at 6am.... More

Great position and would agree that the rooms and hotel is in need of some updating but the dinner and breakfast was excellent and although the staff all seem to be undergoing training they were all helpful and polite. The drinks seemed a little on the high side but would still rate the hotel as value for money.

Location is great, pretty overlooking the river & bridge. Rowers are flowing past of an afternoon. Stayed for work. Was functional but the presentation is very very tired. The carpet is stained & worn. These is no air-conditioning & no elevator which made my third floor room difficult to reach with bags. Bathrooms are more modern although the dreaded English... More

Stayed here after flying into Heathrow, you really do get what you pay for our room was basic however the view was beautiful, has so much potential but is tired looking and I really fancied a bath however was put off by the hairs that were in the bath tub, made me feel like it wasn't clean. The bar was... More

This is quite simply the worst hotel experience I have ever had . The hotel itself is actually perfectly ok ( though not worth the price ) . However the bar is under staffed and it is clearly being run on a low budget . Waiting for a drink isn't that much of a hardship - although 20 minutes is... More

The manageress Vi was very attentive and was there to please when I told her I was disappointed that they have changed the selection of sandwiches. She kindly brought out the proper smoked salmon on brown bread for us and kept topping us up with cakes. Good value for money on goupon. £17.00 for two. My second time for afternoon... More

Venue a bit faded and coould do with some tlc. This used to be quite a place to go in the 70s. Staff seemed to range between rather robotic and slow and warm and helpful so it may be pot luck what you get. But our waitress was extremely helpful and efficient though getting to a table (previously booked) seemed... More

Great location, historic building, fantastic location with some very nice views. The staff are ok, but slow sometimes and a bit disorganised. Restaurant is very good and 20% discount for hotel guests. The worst experience was the room. Unbearably hot and humid, no air conditioning. I'll never stay here again when the outside temperature is above 20C.

Stayed here on business and managed to get a cheap date on trivago! Have to say it was very good value for money, clean comfortable and spacious. Booking was late at night but was easy and staff were pleasant & helpful. Would definitely stay again at the the price and if in the area! Recommend.
