We had a fabulous two night stay with Wenda and Steve who couldn’t have done more to help my disabled husband Comfy bed 10/10 breakfast Very clean, good facilities 😊 Great location Would highly recommend
We stayed at Cathedral Views a few of weeks ago as Salisbury is almost equidistant from Stonehenge and Bath. Steve greeted us at the door and also provided us with maps of Salisbury, including the best places to eat, places of interest to visit and his own self-guided walking tour! He explained all the measures put in place to ensure that we remained safe, including reducing the number of rooms occupied at one time, having the rooms aired, cleaned and left vacant for a number of days. We met Wenda later that day and they were both lovely, it felt like staying with family. They are both very friendly and personable. The breakfast was delicious and full of local produce. Delicious sausages and bacon. Unfortunately Wenda could not bake her homemade cookies and leave them in the rooms at this time, due to COVID. We had a lovely stay.…
I have stayed here twice - the first time was a business visit. I enjoyed it so much I was determined to return with my lovely husband. This property is well placed for visits to the town and the Cathedral as well as surrounding areas. There is free parking and THE MOST AMAZING BREAKFAST. Steve and Wenda are natual and welcoming hosts. There is nothing that they won't do to help, the know all of the best places and are experts in local history. I was one of their first guests after lockdown was eased and I felt incredibly safe and cared for. Steve and Wenda take infection control very seriously, leaving rooms unoccupied for 72h between guests and cleaning everywhere. I have no doubt that I will be back again. Did I mention the jam? Oh my word, the jam.
What marks out this B&B from the rest is the owners. Steve is passionate about his cathedral city and gave us a lot of information about the sights which are not to be missed. Wenda provided a delicious breakfast using locally sourced ingredients. We had a room overlooking the garden and the dining room had a view of the cathedral spire. The Cathedral Close was a few minutes walk away as were the shops and restaurants. Salisbury is a pleasant city to walk around and we were provided with a resident's parking permit.
What a cute place. Wenda and Steve have converted an old townhouse into the coziest little B&B, and Salisbury is so small that you can easily walk anywhere from here. Steve is a font of information and can answer any of your questions. (He even knew about our train's timetable changes during a rail strike, which we hadn't known about!) Wenda's breakfasts are delicious and filling, and they were very accommodating with my wife's vegan diet. Pro tip: We stayed in Bedroom One, facing the Cathedral. A very comfortable room, but you can only see the cathedral's spire, and Exeter Street is very busy during rush hour. The windows block out much of the noise, and the street is quiet at night, but if you're a light or late sleeper, you might prefer a garden-facing room (Bedroom Two or Four).…
