Stayed here a little while back, the room was really nice and the Staff were friendly! Need a little more attention to the little things, such as possibly showing guests to their rooms, but all in all was a really great hotel and with a beautiful view of the cathedral, will be back soon!

Pros - Rich history and character, absolutely charming and cozy (built in the 13th century, originally as a coaching inn) - Gregarious and helpful staff - On-site restaurant and bar - Large rooms with modern updates in the bathrooms - Great location for visiting Stonehenge and perfect spot for exploring Salisbury - Resting beside a river provides a nice spot...

My partner were having a few days in Salisbury to explore the surrounding area. It couldn't be any better for location, short distance to visit Salisbury cathedral & the town centre. The location is close enough to Bath, The Cotswolds and New Forest to name a few. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive and made our stay pleasant, comfortable and...

We paid for a junior suite with robes, slippers, bottled water and bake of the day. However we were not offered bake of the day on arrival and there were no robes , slippers or water in the room. There were also no teabags on the first day and no milk on the second day. We spoke to the manager...

My husband and I stayed here for one night this week to meet with relatives in the area. The hotel's communication prior to our visit was good. My general impression on entering the hotel was that it could do with a spruce up though. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming and our room was spacious and clean. We had a...

The hotel itself is lovely and in a beautiful position on the river bank. However we didn't feel it met 4 Star standards. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom, although large, probably needs renovating. No heated towel rail or robes either. At breakfast we were told we had booked room only, which was incorrect. I had to ring...

We booked a Christmas package plus an extra night and were very impressed. I had stayed here on business 40= years ago and was pleasantly surprised at the changes. We enjoyed our stay-the staff were very helpful and friendly (particularly Nicky) and the food was very good. The only disappointment being a Christmas package and that is we only were...

We have just spent a 3 night Christmas stay at this hotel, having previously staying in one of the bedrooms in the older part of the hotel, this time we stayed in a executive room in the modern building to the rear, they have wonderful views of the River Avon and over fields with a view of Salisbury Cathedral, we...

The hotel is what I would class as 'traditional'. Mainly middle aged couples and business people at breakfast. My room was in the older part of the hotel at the back so it was lovely and quiet. Clean and well equipped (even a Nespresso coffee machine) and a comfortable bed. It is a level 15 minute walk via the beautifully...

Our Pavilion Restaurant where the hotel serves Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner to residents and non-residents offers picturesque views of Salisbury Cathedral and the River Avon combined with ‘Sheep in the meadows’ by constable.
