The jotel was fairly basic. The corridors could do with being refurbished. The room was small. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect. However on the thursday night we were tired and looking forward to an early night. We went to bed at 10pm and almost to the minute the music started....

Dear kembleeggs1 Thank you for your generally good review of your stay at our hotel. I appreciate it does not help your stay, but after a very busy summer and a lot of foot traffic through our hotel corridors, we have got the decorators coming in over the next couple of weeks to refresh rooms and corridors alike. We do...

We stayed in the hotel on the 18th September after a forced stop on our way to Cornwall due to a two-hour wait in the shuttle under the English Channel. How lucky we were, or we would never have visited this lovely city and would never have found such a lovely hotel! The hotel offered such a warm welcome, such...

If you don't want to sleep this is the place to go. They supply ear plugs for a reason. We were told on the phone they have a dj on Saturday night, I asked would we hear it in our room he said no we were in room 211 just above the main toilets and all you could hear was...

Dear Mclrmichelle I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. I have investigated who took your booking and it was Steve, a trusted member of our management team , so I do not know why he would of said on a Saturday that you would not hear noise. We do have some quiet rooms, but we want...

I recently stayed at this hotel and was in a single room. The rooms are very basic and of an average size for a single room. Very small bed in the middle of the room though which did not feel very safe. There was nothing special about the room, sort of old fashioned, plain and tired. I would not return...

Dear Sallychristine Thank you for staying with us during your visit to Salisbury. I am sorry you found our hotel to be basic. It is great that you had a quiet nights sleep. I am not sure what you meant about not feeling safe by the bed being in the middle of the room. I can only presume this is...

We stayed at the Cathedral Hotel 15th and 16th September. Great value, great location for the local nightlife. Staff were good and the food and drink was a high standard. If you stay at the weekend there is a nightclub at the back which is also good. We will return again hopefully soon.

We booked two rooms on a Saturday night, it was not the best idea when you travel with a family. The pub downstairs is opened until 2am so that's not calm at all. The rooms were not very clean nor modern, and they were not well isolated from the other rooms. I would only recommend the place for the location...

Dear np89 Thank you for staying with us during your visit to Salisbury. I am delighted you found our central location a great benefit. Our bar is not a calm place on weekend nights as our website clearly states. It is a vibrant, busy late night bar with d.j. entertainment until 2am. During the week our bar is calm and...

Room was ok but gave up on breakfast - staff slow at everything (clearing tables, dealing with simple requests) and generally dis-organised. Lots of grumpy tourists waiting for their food. Feels like you are staying in a pub with a few rooms upstairs. The Best Western Red Lion over the road looked inviting!

We stayed here one night on August 30. We ate in the pub and had a really good meal. The location is central. The room left something to be desired. The mattress was small, lumpy and uncomfortable. Dear anon37 Thank you for your generally good review. As you heard the noise at 2am, I am guessing you stayed at the weekend. A friendly and personal hotel with a homely atmosphere. Cosy tradititional style . Good for disabled people with a lift up to the rooms, bathroom small but ok. Trippel glazing gave a nice quiet room. Very helpful staff. Convenient location in town. Salisbury is a relaxing small town with style.
