I stayed here for a one night spa break with my Mum and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is lovely, great spacious room with a large desk/dressing table and a sofa and well appointed bathroom with bath and separate shower. A lovely feature was a fridge with bottles to fill with fresh water and fresh milk which could be sourced from machines on each landing - a great idea! Tea and coffee making facilities and a fancy coffee machine. Large TV and DVD player and an excellent library of DVDs available to borrow from reception. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and enjoyed all the food. Spa treatments were lovely and you got the full 25 minutes which is a novelty as you often find the first 5-10 minutes are taken up with talking! The pool and jacuzzi are lovely. Everything was very COVID safe with hand sanitiser in various locations and anti-viral wipes by the water/milk machines and in the lifts. The most wonderful thing about our stay was the staff, everyone we met was friendly and helpful and it made a real difference to our stay. Thanks to all for such a lovely break, we will be back!!

Came for a spa weekend. Arrived Friday night and the service from Sharon and Ryan was impeccable. They were polite and friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. Had a lovely time in the spa Saturday afternoon too. Unfortunately things changed after that. Our experience on the Saturday night was actually disgusting to a point where the barmaid argued with the mother of the bride about a drinks order and then we were charged for 4 cocktails we never had. When we tried to sort the problem we were told we were causing problems!!!!! The staff were rude and lazy, people were leaving as they weren’t getting served but there was plenty of staff on and as a result I would not recommend staying here. Such a shame when everything else had gone well.

Thank you for your review, I am disappointed to hear you did not enjoy the last night of your stay, I have spoken with my team to ensure we learn from this experience and do feel it is unfair to single out my team as being the issue as several other guests who were sat in the bar area have complained about your party’s behaviour which resulted in you all being asked to leave. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you would like to discuss this matter further. Paul Nixon General Manager

Fantastic weekend away. Lovely rooms, great food and great facilities. Only slight gripes which include: - not being able to sit outside for food due to some strange reasoning from the manager only to find people sat out there the following evening 🤷🏻‍♂️ - when my wife went to the spa, the lady treating her spoke throughout. All fine having small talk but continuous conversation when trying to relax the mind doesn’t work 😆 Would certainly recommend for a short break for couples 👌🏼
