So we checked in at 3pm today my daughter and I for a spa and relax Sunday evening deal . Reception had our reservation wrong the time we had booked the spa and our evening meal . It was rectified then told we could charge everything to our room in the hotel Spa is 1 hour and only 10 mins in jacuzzi well that is not policed a group of 4 lads and one young lady had half hour in jacuzzi so we did it get a turn in our allocated hour! So we had a swim and that was it Went to get a drink and was told couldn’t charge to my room should have brought cash or bank card down - so couldn’t get a drink So far not impressed or relaxed -

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Thorpe Park after a surprise family meal celebrating our daughters 21st Birthday. Cannot thank the staff enough for helping to arrange this surprise meal. Hayley and Nicola where so helpful in arranging the booking and Clive was exceptional on the day. Food and hotel was amazing. Spa/pool area is a definite must. Huge thanks again.
We arrived for a 3 night celebratory stay. Having stayed at the Thorpe Park many times before it was THE only choice for us to stay. We checked in after a 5.5 hour journey and had to change rooms, given wrong room type. Previously we have always booked directly with the hotel but on this occasion we used Booking.com and boy did we keep being reminded of it. The receptionist said "oh it's a booking.com one!" when we checked in. The same again when we asked to book to use the pool and gym, also when we later rang to query a bill! We found bottles in the fridge which had the remains of the previous occupants water and milk (not very Covid at all!!!) We were over charged for our evening meal (to celebrate with my parents) on the Saturday by over £60+'s. Turns out we paid for the couple on the next table too but because we didn't get an itemised food/drink bill we didn't realise till 2 hours into our journey home. We rang the hotel, told them what we'd had in the restaurant and then informed that we were due a substantial reimbursement. We received the reimbursement quickly. We kept asking for toiletries and tea making supplies etc (no room service during Covid measures understandably) but didn't receive any and neither were the towels we had requested left outside the door for us either. All in all extremely disappointed with this once lovely hotel. We will not be using it again and wish we had booked Oulton Hall to celebrate our special day.…
Really recommend this lovely hotel. We stayed on a 2 night DBB with secret escapes and could not fault anything. All Covid measures are in place and we felt very safe. The hotel is spotless in all areas. Staff lovely and friendly. And we really enjoyed the food.
