Stayed for two nights as a part of a tour . The room was clean and spacious. The staff throughout our stay were helpful and friendly . The hairdryer in the room was broken and 10 minutes after reporting it a staff member brought a replacement. The bed was comfortable and there was additional pillows and blankets if required .... Stayed here for 3 nights while at a wedding . The breakfast was terrible. Most of the time the hot plates for the food were empty or what was still in them looked like they had been there all morning. The bacon wasn't even warm. There was no fried eggs on a particular morning and I heard another couple complain... More

Stayed here as part of a David Urquhart tour. Room was clean and bed comfortable, let themselves down by not providing 2 towels when they knew 2 guests were in the room, we only realised when the second person was ready to go for a shower! Food was edible and there was plenty. Bar had happy hour 12 noon to... More

Stayed here for a two night break with David Urquhart coach company for the Emmerdale tour. Rooms clean and bright but do not have room 201 as the radiator rattles all night even though not on and the traffic noise is very loud. Bathroom has very poor lighting. Restaurant looks lovely but the food is very dry and at lack... More

A long way out of the city centre, but certainly handy for the ring-road. The Britannia is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Coffee isn't too bad either. Prices are very reasonable.

Just visited this hotel for their Sunday Lunch buffet only £8.95 per person, first was a little shock when waitress asked us to pay for the meal before we had even sat down. Starter was either packet soup or salad bar, well if that is what you call lettuce tomato, cucumber diced in a bowl, coleslaw, pickled onions, tinned 5... More

Bed was hard. The sink had no quard on it and the bedside light didnt work. There was alot of noise from the road outside and it seemed really loud when people walked past just having a normal conversation. Staff however were friendly.
