Detailed Reviews
My partner and I stayed in this hotel on an overnight stay in Leeds (1st Feb 2020).
The hotel is only a 5-7 minute walk from the train station and located slap bang in the middle of the city centre surrounded by shops.
We stayed in a interior, twin room which didn’t have any windows as it was the cheapest option.
The room was basic but very clean. The room contains 2 x comfortable beds, shelving, 2 x non removable coat hangers, and small ensuite which again was small but had everything needed.
The room did have a TV mounted on the wall but you have to pay an extra £5 for this service and also pay extra for use of their WiFi.
The check in process was hassle free and just needed to sign a document as I had pre-paid and checkout was at 10am which was also hassle free (just handing over room card).
For the price, I would definitely stay here if you just plan on using it as a base and not to spend any period of time in the room.
Value for money is excellent and I would stay here again and would recommend to friends/family.

I’ve stayed in this hotel twice, and out of all the easy hotels I’ve stayed in this has to be the best by far
Both times that I’ve stayed here I was greeted by the friendliest guy, Sid. On the second time of staying (nearly a year later) he remembered me and the conversation we had previously had together and continued it on remembering all the details, I was astonished!
When we went to the room on the first stay we had an issue with the TV, it was no bother, just the batteries in the remote seemed to be dead. Sid didn’t palm us of with just a new remote or some new batteries to put in it, He brought a second remote with fresh batteries up to the room himself and even offered to move our room if there was an issue with the TV since someone else had previously had an issue with a TV that wasn’t the remote. The fresh remote sufficed but it was great that he was already prepared to help us to the best of his ability.
The location is great too, slap bang in the middle of the city, we had easy access to all the shops, pubs, clubs and restaurants we could imagine. it was also incredibly peaceful at night.
The room was clean and the shower was amazing, I couldn’t suggest a better hotel for you in Leeds.

First things first! The rooms were very small, my partner was the first to walk in, followed by me. I asked him to keep walking in as I had a suitcase as I can’t pack light. Try and pack light and take the smallest bag possible. Thought he was joking when he said that he couldn’t move any more. The room was the size of a cardboard box. The majority of normal hotels have a bathroom bigger than the whole of our room. The mattress itself was comfy and did just the job unlike the pillows. The pillows that were provided were like sleeping on tissue paper, barely anything there. I advise you to bring your own pillows if you actually want one for a comfortable night sleep. We asked reception for another two pillows but they had no spare pillows left...I wonder why!
In this day and age I would have thought that WiFi was available and not part of the additional £10 fees that are placed on most “extras”.
The staff were all very friendly and we couldn’t fault them😊

Dear chloehannah97, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we do appreciate your feedback and use it to ensure we are constantly adapting to our guests needs. We are sorry to see that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Here at easyHotel our slogan is 'Let's Go'. Our aim with this is to provide the perfect place for guests to drop their bags before exploring everything that brought them to the city. In this, we keep our rooms as basic as needed to give a great night’s sleep and still be comfortable. Our rooms are typically smaller than that of other hotels, who often charge a much higher price than ourselves, however this is reflected in our cheapest on the market room rates. In keeping with our super budget price range, we believe our guests should be given the option to pay for things they may not otherwise wish to use. Extras such as Wifi do come at an extra cost of £5 per 24 hours however, when booking directly with us at easyHotel.com, you can sign up to our membership scheme. The clubBedzzz membership gives all guests 10% off their bookings and free Wifi for their stays! Next time you would like to stay with us, please feel free to sign up on our direct website to grab this amazing deal! We hope we can look forward to welcoming you back to us soon! Warm Regards, Jess easyHotel Leeds

We stayed in a twin room on the 3rd floor of the hotel for 2 nights. If this was just a stop over for one night I would have put an average review but as we were staying for two nights we started to notice more as the days went on.
The room was not clean when we checked in which we thought was pretty bad considering the current climate with the COVID-19 pandemic. The floor was a mess and did not look like it had been hoovered in a few days. The shower walls had not been cleaned correctly either as there was staining on there which came off while I showered, there was also things left in the bin, most likely from the last people that checked out. The housekeeping staff had clearly been in the room prior to our arrival as the beds had been made and clean towels had been put in. We did some questioning whether the sheets on the bed had actually been changed but they looked pretty clean.
I have stayed in some budget hotels in other city centres before and I have never had as much of a problem with noise as this one. On the second night from 2am-5am there was constant door slamming and running around in the corridors.
We had no signal in the hotel room which I find bizarre for a city that has 5G signal available. Part of me thinks that the mobile signal is purposely blocked in this hotel so you have to pay to have wifi access which was £5 for 24 hours. The reception will provide you with an access code when you pay.
The reception staff at the hotel were lovely, it was an easy check in and check out and they provided us with great recommendations of where to eat and directions for where we had booked already.
There is no parking available at the hotel as it is in a pedestrianised area of the city but you can park in the NCP The Core multistorey car park and leave your car there over night for as many days as you need. You will be given a ticket when you enter the car park. When checking in, tell the reception that you have parked there and they will give you a second ticket which will give you a heavily discounted price to park there. If we were not given this discount we would have had to pay £49 (£24.50 per 24 hours) for parking my car there from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, with the discount from the hotel ticket we paid £13 (£6.50 per 24 hours).
For the amount we paid for the room we did expect better cleanliness. I wouldn't stay here again.

Hi Becky S, Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review of your experience with us. We are indeed a budget hotel in terms of our services however we never compromise on the most important aspects - comfort, location, customer service and cleanliness. On this occasion we are very disappointed that we did not deliver on the room standards for you, as you can see from our reviews we are usually rated very highly in this aspect. We would like to look into this further if you are able to kindly email some details to leeds@easyhotel.com In terms of noise we are located very centrally in the retail area which is usually very quiet in the evening, as for inhouse noise we do regular patrols in the night by our nights team, we will feed this back to ensure that we are constantly improving. However, if you ever experience any disturbances or issues during your stay please ring our 24 hour reception where we are more than happy to resolve any problems for you right away! I can assure you also that we do not block any phone signals at the hotel, in fact we also give free wifi for our ClubBedzzz members that book direct and they can enjoy 10% all bookings too which is a great bonus. From your review I am very pleased that you found the discount parking (nearly £20 off a day) very useful and the staff were friendly and helpful during your stay. It is a shame to hear that you wouldn't stay again as I can assure you this does not reflect our usual guest experience, however we do hope that with our competitive rates and great location, you can be tempted to give us another try in future. Kind regards Karen easyHotel Leeds

Stayed 1 night for a gig at the O2 Academy.
The booking was very easy via their own app. I got the room in the January sale and paid about 20 quid.
The check in was simple with the standard form every hotel the world over asks you to fill in. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming and issued me my room key and TV remote which I was informed is now included in the room rate. As I booked via the app on their free loyalty scheme, the WiFi was also included.
The hotel was very clean. Actually had a faint aroma of soap! Don't know if it's always like this or because of Corona virus.
The room as reported elsewhere is very small. On my own it's fine but could be very claustrophobic with a second person. Again, very clean and everything worked as it should. Only complaint is the mattress. Very poor quality with no resistance in the springs but as it cost me less than the gig ticket then I have no right to complain!
I opted for a room with a window. It's worth the extra few quid as it helps make the room seem bigger. It looks out over the main shopping street so great for people watching.
All in all a great budget hotel for a short stay. It's a bed for the night.

+1
We checked in and as soon as we arrived in the room the bedding had a huge stain on. We asked reception to move us rooms and they did so. The second room had toothpaste on the hand soap and the tv had been smashed and damaged. We moved rooms a third time and all was well however we noticed there was toothpaste underneath the tap. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, unknown stains that resembled faeces on the wall. There was also a brown unknown object on the floor and a leftover earring back. At the side of the bed there were some unknown marks and a big hole in the side of the other bed. Upon coming to bed we took the bedding off and it revealed the mattress topper with huge stains on them. We had also seen there were big stains on the actual duvet. We requested extra bedding from reception and received these.
The sink did not drain properly and it took around 30 seconds to fully empty, the walls were filthy and it was clear that the room had not been cleaned properly, if at all. The floors had not been hoovered or mopped and you felt dirty just being there.
On the taps and glass door of the toilet were handprints and fingerprints on the chrome touch points which in this day and age where most have a “COVID Promise” this establishment clearly does not adhere to that.
The next morning we checked out one day early because the service and quality we received was unacceptable for £127.
We were so annoyed and upset that we changed hotel rooms after staying one night out of the two. The rooms were a complete disgrace and although perceived as a ‘budget’ hotel, it still wasn’t cheap for us to stay. It is not acceptable allowing visitors to sleep on absolutely filthy bedding and mattresses: a simple cleaning task.
This experience put a complete downer on what was meant to be a weekend for my sister’s 21st Birthday.
All in all I would never ever stay here again, I would like to add that the night staff being absolute gems and doing everything they could despite not having a manager on shift was the best part of our stay. It is all down to the housekeeping staff who clearly aren’t very good at all.

The room was what I expected for the price, very basic with no windows. Towels and toiletries provided. Plenty of plugs beside the bed.
However, there was no phone signal at all in the room, and WiFi was an extra £8.95.
I would not stay here again.

I booked a room for 3 people during my visit to Leeds last December. We arrived around midnight and the reception still greet us with a smile. check-in was fast. We were allocated room at the first floor with Windows facing the back alley. Hence it is quiet. The double glaze windows also help to keep the cold out. The heating is difficult to use at first. But u get hold of it, it functions perfectly.
The room is clean and huge. 20 minutes wifi is provided per day. Additional per day usage can be purchase. Toilet door is glass panel. Shower is strong. Definitely a nice stay. Breakfast can be purchased from the vendor machine, but do not need it as Costa is just next door.
Will stay there again if the price is right.

We arrived at the hotel which is great location wise however I had rang 2 days earlier asking if hairdryer in room to avoid bringing mine and taking up extra space in suitcase, was advised Yes there is...no there isn't, we asked for one which never materialised. No coffee or tea making facilities, no mirror in bathroom. Was a disability bathroom too which I did not book. One bath towel - not bath sheet - between 2 of us for 2 nights. The room could do with sprucing up was scuffed a lot, the bed was the worst mattress ever slept on, and the room was 220 just 2 doors from the fire door near the lift so everything someone came in the door slammed! Being in the centre the windows cannot be opened which I was not aware of and having asthma I woke feeling shattered from lack of sleep and feeling chesty as no fresh air from the locked window. Considering
it was a disabled room there was very little room to move around the bed? We had no wardrobe just 2 hangers so we're rummaging round our suitcase whilst there, what an overpriced waste of money, loved Leeds but will not be recommending or staying at this hotel chain ever again.

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night in June. On the positive, the staff were lovely and attentive, they greeted us upon arrival and departure during the stay, and were very friendly when we checked out.
I am aware that this is a budget hotel, however there are other hotel chains that offer a better value for money for a small amount extra. Starting off with the room amenities, the room itself was pretty barebones. We were given two fixed (immovable) metal hangers and a small shelf to keep our items, and a small bin in the corner of the room, leaving a considerable amount of floor space unused. The bed was positioned in an awkward place, making it quite inaccessible. It could have been repositioned in a more efficient way as the space between the beds was very tight, which gave us a slight fear in case of a fire.
Next thing; the pillows. Oh, the pillows. It was as if we were given something straight out of a 1990s prison movie. They were very poor quality, flat, and gave little to no head elevation. Dangerous for the spine, and sadly I would not recommend this hotel with a person with back issues.
Other than this, there is not much else to comment on as the room was bare, understandable due to the hotel being budget-friendly, although competitors offer a lot more.
Overall I would be reluctant to recommend this hotel to friends or family, unless it were for the location; it is quite central in Leeds City Centre and would be ideal for a night out where the quality of the room would not be as much of an issue.
Hi MegJJ Many thanks for your stay, and i appreciate you taking the time to leave a review aswell, any and all feedback is always welcomed. To start with, I thank you for your kind words towards my team. Its a very special crew we have here and its always appreciated when guests go out of their way to mention the work and effort they put into each shift. We make no bones about the fact we are a proud super-budget brand, and prioritise 4 factors above all else - Location, Cleanliness, Comfort and Service. We hope to leave all our guests with a clear impression on all 4, and it seems that we missed the mark for you on Comfort. Our team is on hand for you 24hrs a day and we would encourage you to mention any concerns you may have with the team who will be happy to provide a change/additional pillows for you. Again, i thank you for your stay and hope you'll visit us again in the future, Thanks Michael easyHotel Leeds

Yes we were charged £6 in the NCP in the light shopping centre. Ask at reception and they will give you a voucher
Hi Daniel, we do have irons available to be requested at the desk, subject to availability.

No, no kettles. Or drawers to put things in, which is why the cleaner threw away my printed-out train ticket and a few other items, as I had nowhere to put them away, as I had to take my luggage trolley to a show I was in town for. Got the train ticket reprinted by staff, but never got the other items back, which I'm obviously still annoyed about!
That being said - hotel is cheap; and in a good location; and staff were friendly; so pick what's important to you.
Hi, yes they do for an additional charge. Hope this helps
Unfortunately I do not live in Leeds. However if you ask at the easyhotel one of the members of staff will be happy to help. They offer a 5 star service. I recommend
