We chose the Fleece Inn to have lunch on a Sunday as it is an authentic pub, without TV, music or slot machines in the public areas. Moreover, it is in the centre of Haworth & had received good reviews on TA. We were a group of 4 , so I reserved a table in advance. The menu is quite... More

My wife and I have just stayed for 2 nights. We were lucky enough to be able to stop the car right outside to unload, and then moved it to the pub down the road which allowed us to park for free. Check in was quick and easy, and we were shown up to our room, which was nice and... More

I read reviews, I write reviews but I didn't read reviews for this hotel until the morning we were going. I was nervous after reading the most recent reviews that our stay was going to be a disaster and had I seen them before booking would maybe have thought twice. If so, I would have missed out on a really... More

I've been to this pub three times while staying in Haworth and I think it's very nice for drinks but not the best place for food. I went there for a drink after a walk on the moor and decided to stay for dinner. I hadn't booked and the very friendly bar tender said there was no problem because it... More

Thank you for your recent review of The Fleece. I'm pleased you liked the look of it enough to visit 3 times but I'm uncertain if you ate & disliked the food, given that you didn't think it the best place for food. If so I am disappointed that you judged it so, as we are very busy for food... More

We were given room 4 at the back of the building for a 3 night stay and unfortunately this room is not a particularly nice one. It overlooks a wall, so it is dark and feels dingy compared to what is displayed on the website when booking (and what I saw when peeking at other rooms on the opposite side).... More

Visited on a day trip to Haworth, we were pleased to see it was dog friendly and well decorated. The menu is ample and there is enough to suit all tastes and appetites - main meals; jacket potatoes and sandwiches. The sandwiches were outstanding and of excellent quality. The chips were fantastic. It is reasonably priced when you consider the... More

Good position in town, parking out of the main area but ok for unloading/ loading. Very helpful manager and pleasant staff. Room spacious and comfortable bed. Downside- usual old bathroom that floods and toilet didn't flush without fiddling with the cistern, towel from previous guest left hanging in bathroom and free bottled water supplied has been used and opened which... After a lovely day exploring the quaint boutiques, musty bookshops and the beautiful churches in Haworth, we crossed the cobbled Main Street and started to check out the menu of this lovely, well maintained hostelry. Being a vegetarian, i was delighted to see that they offered cheese and onion pie along with hand made chips and garden peas amongst other... More

I've eaten at the Fleece a few times on visiting Haworth (it's my favourite village in the world being a huge Bronte fan) - and always wanted to stay in one of their rooms. I think we got the last available double, it was quite a dark room with no view, just a wall, and a big noisy extractor fan... More
