My wife and I stayed for two nights here on a midweek break in May. The hotel has limited car parking but we arrived early enough on the first afternoon to park there and got back from our visit to Saltaire in time to park on the second evening. On our arrival the lady in reception was very helpful (as...

I had a three night stay at the Old White Lion following a sudden family bereavement. The hotel is ideally located at the top of Haworth Main Street. The staff are friendly, the restaurant food is varied and tasty and the breakfast, which is cooked to order is fantastic. The room was medium sized and very clean. There are numerous...

We live locally so have never stayed here, but we are regular visitors due to the excellent bar meals. Two bar rooms to choose from, the one at the rear of the property being the cosiest. Cheerful staff, good value for money, high-quality food, nicely presented. Specials menu does not change often enough and when it does, the same specials...

Being from Yorkshire,I'm your typical Yorkshire man who watches the pennies, and normally look to stop in Travelodge, you now what your getting and they are good value,so I sweated a bit when I saw The £97.50 price for this hotel. I quickly realised that there are dearer Hotels around Haworth than the Old white Lion. With the wife on Holiday,...

Stayed for one night and received a warm and friendly welcome. The double room was ideal, with a lovely clean and tidy en suite bathroom. Also ate in the restaurant, the service was excellent, the food was of an extremely high standard and we ended our evening with a few drinks in the bar. Breakfast was perfect, something for everyone and...

Having seen the previous reviews I was expecting this stay to go well, but even so it beat all expectations! There is a genuine sense of history here and the on-site owners have struck a nice balance in retaining its traditional character whilst sensitively making improvements to suit the modern traveller. The public areas are as one would expect -...

The Hotel is at the very top of Haworth High Street and is perfectly located for visiting Bronte Parsonage and the surrounding area. The rooms above the pub are clean and tidy. Ours had superb views across the open countryside. The staff at check in and throughout our stay could not have been more helpful or welcoming. There is a...

The staff were friendly and helpful and I received a friendly reception on arrival. The room was spacious with a very good en-suite albeit the bath seemed to creak and move when I stood in it to take a shower. The only criticism was it took about 10 minutes for someone to arrive and take my breakfast order by which...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The 300 year old facade of this former coaching inn hides the fact this family run hotel combines charming olde world features with thoroughly modern facilities. Situated at the top of the famous cobbled street, walked by the Revd. Patrick Bronte and his famous family. In more recent times as illustrated on TV in Hovis advertisements. This is very much an establishment where food and drink are taken seriously, and dispensed along with hospitality in good measure. Warmth, comfort and a relaxed atmosphere prevail throughout the 14 en-suite bedrooms, beamed bars, restaurant and oak paneled lounge.Freshly prepared food is provided by the highly qualified chefs. Keeping up with modern trends, without ignoring the popularity of old favourites. Featured in major food guides the Gimmerton restaurant is open every evening. An extensive range of reasonably priced bar meals being available in the cosy bars, where real ales are prominent. Exceptional value breaks available both mid-week as well as weekends throughout the year. ... more   less
