This hotel was a real find. We wanted a Saturday night double bed and breakfast with dinner at short notice. Everywhere in the Dales were fully booked so we thought that we would try Bradford instead. We fell on our feet since everything about this hotel (apart from the slightly down at heal rear parking area, not their fault) was...

My family and I stayed for 1 night at this hotel in September. On first sight of the property I was surprised to see scaffolding still there. Inside the building is lovely and very clean. The interior is decorated in a contemporary style. Our room had a plasma tv and an interconnecting single room for our son. Our bed was...

Lister Mansion is in an excellent position and with some more work would be a very attractive hotel. We arrived late afternoon having booked months earlier and found there had been a problem arising from us having bought our stay via EBay. For a while it looked as though we would not be able to stay but the problem was...

The best thing about the Lister Mansion is that the staff genuinely care about their customers, and go out of their way to please. We stayed for two nights DB&B and, on the first night, my wife had salmon from the short but beautifully presented menu. She mentioned that she didn't eat red meat, so the head chef went to...

I wish i had the time to do this hotel and it's management justice. We travelled from London and arrived after 8pm with three children aged 8, 5 and 7 months, and all the luggage that goes with them! I called ahead to reserve a table for dinner (inc in the rate) and was assured by Mark the manager that...

We stayed at the Lister Mansion on a Saturday in mid-April. An early check-in proved no problem and the room was spotlessly clean and adequately furnished. A wall mounted flat screen television featuring all the digital Freeview stations was a bonus. The en-suite featured a good powerful shower with quality toiletries. However, the best thing about this hotel, apart from...

On a cold, wet, autumnal night my wife and I had occasion to stay in this beautifully presented Bradford hotel that could have been in the middle of any of the most beautiful cities in Britain as the golden brown views across the Lister Park were absolutely lovely. Getting ready for the very highly-rated evening meal in our wonderfully minimalistic,...

The staff were helpful and friendly (Liz), the bed great and the food exceptional! Their was a few minor problems mentioned in previous posts but nothing that won't be sorted and would not stop us from...

Booked a great sounding deal via the hotel website. Arrived to find scaffolding surrounding the building with plastic tarpaulin covering it. Friendly helpful staff at reception. Looked at a room at the front - the view was of plastic sheeting which was blowing ferociously in the wind and VERY noisy. No radiators, a small fan heater was on. Tiny bathroom...

Just return from a two night stay at this hotel. It has only been opened 17 weeks and beware it's the first of five hotels the owners are planning in the area. We were in room 101 - directly above the bar & restaurant and with a wedding & disco on the Saturday night that did not help us have...
