On a busy road so the traffic noise wasnt a surprise. Car park was ok but cramped exit. Our room was a good size, very green including the vertical blinds in the window! We had the room above the public bar which came with loud music until just after midnight, and talking in the car park til 4 am. The... More

This was my first stay at The Westleigh Hotel. I must admit, I wasn't holding high hopes for a pleasant stay, as I have stayed in "Pub Hotels" in the past and been disappointed with tiny, dirty rooms. I am definitely glad I gave them the chance. On arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff member who was very... More

The rooms are far away enough from the pub downstairs for noise not to be a problem. The rooms are big and have character but have the wear and tear you'd expect from such an old building. Free wi fi and tea and coffee facilities in the room.Overall good value for money.

Spent 3 nights in the hotel . It is very cozy and reasonably good service rendered . They provide a genuine portion of breakfast with room. The pub is a typical English pub and they have karaoke night once in a week. The location is very central and close to transport the city centre and the University .

I had a four nights stay at the Westleigh during my visit to a film festival at the National Media Museum. The hotel is conveniently only a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Museum and there's also a bus stop outside of the front door. The first impression is that the place is roomy but badly in need of... The hotel is okay, not great. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. And most of the staff are helpful. The breakfast is also ok but could be hotter. My biggest problem with this hotel is their plumbing, it is not able to cope with the amount of rooms there are in the place. I stayed for 3 nights and was... More
