The hotel reception area is lovely sadly the rooms are quite tired and old, we stayed for 6 weeks so had a long stay here, the rooms are clean and beds are changed regularly. We were on the 2nd floor and the housekeeping staff on this floor were so friendly and helpful always chatting to us and offering to help...

Came here for a one night stay on a coach trip, Xmas shopping to Leeds and York. We stayed in one of the rooms that had not yet been refurbished but it was clean with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. We had a 3 course meal, which was tasty and well cooked with a choice of 3 starters,...

Staff are friendly and helpful and some of the rooms have been refurbished. Rooms are comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and are well cleaned. Breakfasts have a good choice and they always...

The room was well appointed with tea and coffee facilities. The water pressure for the shower was very poor, barely more than a drizzle. Unfortunately both lifts were out of order which necessitated negotiating over 8 flights of stairs to reach the fourth floor where my room was located. As a senior citizen with a heart condition this was less...

Stayed here on an emerald tour coach trip. Hotel ok and wifi good, breakfast was ok but I heard from others that evening meal was horrible, we actually had a meal nearby not at hotel so can't comment. Water in sinks, boiling hot, almost like boiling water from a kettle so be careful if you have young children. Nice and...

My fiancé & I liked the hotel apart from the evening meal, it was that bad we went next door to the Chinese what I would recommend. It wasn't just us but the other guests said they were disgusted, I would only recommend the room & the costa hot chocolate
