Three of us stayed on a Saturday night at Lordington House whilst on a weekend of National Trust house visits. We spent Saturday at Mottisfont and Hinton Ampner before arriving at 5pm for tea and cake with the other guests and our host Mrs Hamilton and her two gorgeous dogs, Shep and Leo. Mrs Hamilton made us feel at home...

We arrived at about nine in the evening after a bit of a search in the dark to be greeted by a friendly Mrs Hamilton holding a torch accompanied by very big friendly dog. The house is probably easy to find in daylight but at night even with satnav we had trouble finding it; an illuminated sign would have been...

My husband and I have stayed here twice on anniversary weekends. Lordington House is near Goodwood, Uppark and Chichester, so there's lots to do. The house itself, dating from 1623, is beautiful and atmospheric and Audrey is the perfect hostess. Not every B&B offers you tea and cake by a roaring fire in the sitting room when you arrive. It's...

I loved this house and stayed for 1 night with my husband. Its authentic and full of genuine history and character and the owner is very helpful and friendly. We both got spooked in the night our room though by the door to our room, which despite being firmly closed twice, twice opened itself without the handle turning! Even my...

I had a really lovely and relaxing stay, it's a beautiful house and the gardens are so tranquil and calming. The breakfasts are exactly what you want on a holiday, perhaps a little over generous, but the eggs are fresh from their chickens and the honey is also locally produced. I think this would be a great place for anyone,...

Staying at Lordington with Audrey is like staying with a long lost aunt who just happens to have an amazing pad in the country. We arrived to tea and cake on the terrace, and were joined by Shep, a large and very friendly German Shepherd dog. The house and grounds are lovely, stately but cosy - we felt welcome to...

I recently stayed at Lordington House, Lordington, a few miles north west of Chichester. This is an upscale B & B set in a wonderful 16th century house set in the tranquil countryside of West Sussex. The perfect place to get away from it all and bond with nature and history. The rooms are comfortably old fashioned and the greeting...
