Just needed somewhere to change and sleep as I had a party nearby, and this fit the bill perfectly. Welcoming staff, comfy & clean bedroom, delicious full cooked breakfast the next day, nice pub bar area, and we were given a door-key so we could come in at 2am - so all good. 10 mins' drive to central Chichester.

We went there with some friends and had a lovely time. Very typically English country pub with nice ambiance, good parking facilities and a Beer garden The pub/restaurant is made out different little rooms which makes it very cosy. The food was good and the portions were generous. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently situated outside... More

We visited for our 40 Wedding Anniversary. Both women fussy eaters and chose this pub as the menu looked suitable. We all chose something different and I can honestly say I would quite happily eat any of the meals served. Good wholesome food served nice and hot (a bugbear of mine - hate luke warm food). So often the food... More

Have been going here over several years and found it very friendly but the food has gone down hill and on this last visit the food was simply inedible. I cannot remember the last time I did not eat a meal I have ordered but this not only tasted fatty and served luke warm but could not finish it as... More

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding at nearby Farbridge Barns. Friendly welcome from both staff and regulars. Good choice of real ales and a large sunny beer garden to enjoy them in. Ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was delicious and good value for money. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked to... More

This is a lovely well kept little pub full of character set in a village environment and clearly benefits from good local support. There is a comfortable buzz of conversation when you enter which is always a good sign. The five well kept real ales were in good condition with Hophead being my favorite. The food is ok, the liver... More

stayed here twice on business. my first experience was sadly the battle axe of a landlady who on arrival demanded payment as the business credit card had not gone through on booking.com. a common problem. I asked if i could phone my boss. was told you will have to go outside in no uncertain terms as no signal inside and... More

My friend wanted to view the Bluebells in the morning so I booked us in for Sunday lunch. We really enjoyed it, the pub was busy, the girls were very friendly and hard working. The Roast Beef excellent, lemon and ginger cheesecake too but a tad pricey at £6. The only comment I made was I wouldn't want to eat... More

We visited for dinner with friends on Saturday and found the pub warm and welcoming. The beer is good and the wine list OK but unfortunately the food isn't very good. I don't mind traditional pub food but it should be better than this. The butterfly prawns were cold and greasy and the pie was not really a pie, just... More

Can't comment on the accommodation only the restaurant. We were recommended to this place by the owner of the cottage we were staying in. Three of us were looking for dinner and we received a warm enough welcome. The young ladies serving were very casual in attitude and one was decidedly po faced. The food was no big deal either...
