Really... AA star rating and you can't supply a vat receipt a scribbled hand written one. Dodgy or what. On arrival you can't find it and if you pull up to the electric gates in the drive the car hangs into a main a road. Then the dreaded garage conversion what a joke it stinks of mould the towels are... More

Stayed for 1 night in the garage conversion, no Wifi or phone coverage here and away from main house. Only one chair, TV is high up on the wall so I tried to lay on bed but impossible to watch high over left shoulder and a crick in the neck if in the chair. Very quiet so a good nights... More

This place was so hard to find, the sat nav stopped us in the wood further up the road. We drove backwards and forwards for a while and with no phone coverage could not phone the owner for more detailed directions. We finally found the place, only to find that we were in an outbuilding - a converted garage I... More

We would just like to say Chris is a great host, really nice place to stay with our two dogs they loved the space in the garden to run around and play. Yes the rooms are a bit basic but when you have dogs that's what you want, the room was clean the bed comfy the shower hot. Yes we... More

Booked a room here for a date 6 months in advance. Unfortunately needed to cancel it 5 days later. Asked for a refund - No! Eventually Bookers.com managed to negotiate a 50% refund. Hotel owners would not respond to my emails. No communication at all. I would not stay there if you paid me!

This house is set in a beautiful area and convenient for what we wanted, but it is definitely not up to a 4* BandB. There was considerable mould on the ceiling around the bay window; the blinds were broken in places and did not fit the Windows and the whole room could have done with a good clean.

We rented all the rooms, as we were having a family get together. The room and bathroom in the house was particularly lovely, it had just been renovated. The rooms outside were fairly basic but warm, only needed to turn the thermostat on the radiator and the place warmed up quickly. Chris cooked us a full English breakfast and we... More

Great location, several pubs in close proximity for meals and refreshments, but really does need a housekeeper to service the rooms. Chris was very friendly, and cooked a great breakfast with options if you didn't want full English. Our room was upstairs in the house, very private and quiet, although a shower would have been preferable to a bath. Comfortable... More

Small rooms, dirty beds and towels. Mould on ceiling of bathrooms. Asked for 2 twin beds was given a double. Poor job of securing waste pipe. Unsafe plugs (overuse of 1 socket). Spider webs and dirty marks all over the place. At breakfast we were given no option about what we would like. There was no manual guide as to... More

An absolute disappointment. The rooms actually are converted garage, dirty and cold. The owner is unfriendly. There is almost to phone reception never mind the wifi connection. It is not worth the money. The bathroom towels are dirty, no shampoo or soap available.
