The room was clean, well sized and ample parking provided, ideal for what we needed (2 x adults and a baby). We were ground floor infront of the car park, didn't feel insecure in the slightest, and wouldn't have minded being on the dog track side either, as it's really just a big open view. Excellent for the price, no... More

Booked here for its closeness to a family party venue so had no idea what to expect - apart from the fact I found out it was next to the Dog Stadium (after I'd booked) Arrived to find reception closed and a handwritten note attached to the grille telling us to go upstairs to collect the key so we checked... The photos on the website are better than reality. We arrived at about 7pm saturday night and were surprised that reception was closed... with an ominous grill and a sign saying book in at the bar upstairs. Room was a bit dusty, the bed was horrendously squeaky but surprisingly comfy... double although room was big enough for king-size. The bathroom... More

Needed a triple room to save paying for multiple rooms and this was the only available option. We arrived late in the evening so had to check in at the bar, there was ample car parking and the room was fine, Travelodge style in decor with 3 single beds. The room was a little chilly and despite reading the hotel... More

All of the staff are friendly and nothing is too difficult for them to accommodate our stay. My mom has mobility problems so the stairs to the breakfast room would have been difficult. So the staff brought the table downstairs so my mom could eat her breakfast looking out onto Hallgreen, race track. We chose our breakfast and they would... More

We arrived on a Saturday evening and the reception was closed, we went upstairs to the bar to check in, got to our boiling hot room to find we overlooked the dog racing track which was very loud so couldn't have the window open, the beds were very soft, didn't sleep very well, will not be returning. The only plus... More

Friendly staff, functional, looks like they don't want to spend money on it. Most likely because the owners have applied to build houses on the land and adjoining dog track. Otherwise a good location for the NEC and the city. There doesn't seem much point saying more-although TA insist that I do.

Nice, clean room in a modern-looking building with plenty of parking space. We had a family room which was fairly spacious with a double bed, single bed and sofa-bed - enough room for two adults and two kids. Breakfast was very nice, served to order by lovely, friendly staff with a choice of full English, cereals, toast, yoghurts, juice, etc.... More

When we arrived we were greeted by lovely Nancy on reception she was warm friendly and very helpful. We also have a few drinks in the bar before going over to the the dog track, it is a warm and friendly place to be. Once returning we went back to the hotel and a lovely young man Cameron was behind... More
