I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a business trip. The first thing I noticed is how attentive the staff are. They really want to help and make sure you have everything you need. The room service was fast and the food was very tasty and arrived warm. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with iron and... More

I had booked a two night stay over a Friday and Saturday night so as to watch the T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston and to enjoy some quality food and drink. The first night was very pleasant and the room throughout was clean and comfortable. However, the second night was disastrous. The hotel had provided a dinner and disco... More

The Aston Conference Centre is perfect for any business traveler needing to stay in that part of the city with easy access to the Colmore Row area of the city and obviously Aston University. It is also well located for tourists wanting to wander into the centre of Birmingham. Checking in is quick although the building itself isn't especially easy... More

Booked on a budget comparing cost wise with other budget hotels but I would dare to say far superior. Room was very clean and comfortable bathroom also very clean with a comfy bed (possibly a small double, so cosy!) A very functional menu and room service, lovely staff in the bar and housekeeping. Definitely recommend.

Room was very good. Plenty of space, large bed, good dressing area, spotless bathroom, complimentary toiletries. Only two of the windows opened and only by three or four inches. No air-conditioning so would have been uncomfortably hot if weather had been warmer. Strange reception area with 'industrial' feel. Greeting could have been better and would have liked information on whether... More

Though the rooms are clearly converted from halls of residence they are clean, and have what is needed. No aircon, but they provide fans. No in-house gym, but free access to the pool gym and sauna a short walk away. Food is unexceptional, but unobjectionable. The training rooms are very nice, well maintained and well supplied. What was most noticeable... More

A nicely appointed conference type hotel. Room comfortable. However, the night was very rainy and the metal on the exterior of the hotel led to a lot of noise in the room. Breakfast food was fine but arriving in the breakfast area it was not clear where to go and what to do. There did not seem to be enough... More

I was staying in Birmingham for my son's 21st, having getting off to a bad start at another Birmingham hotel we were lucky to book into the conference Aston Hotel, have to say this was a very lovely hotel, minutes walk from the center, as it is based on the university campus we may have been a bit suspicious but... The building itself is a little off, very obviously a converted University building but it's not entirely clear it's the hotel on entering due to the standard reception desk. The poor service on the desk doesn't exactly help either. The rooms themselves are very clean and tidy with decent facilities and a good size. Ordered the room service which was... More
