I've stayed in many conference centres of variable quality. This was my second visit and once again, friendly and professional staff from reception to the restaurant and the bar. The conference facilities were very good. As a veggie, I can highly recommend the veggie options at dinner. Save some room for dessert! Aa for banging doors, well you get that... More

If you have to be on campus, then clearly, nothing beats this location. Otherwise, I would prefer being at a "real" hotel. A place with check-in staff who don't think they are doing you some great favour, a place with rooms where you don't bang into your bed, as soon as you enter the room, a place where you can... More

Booked a 1-night stay because of its location and also from its reviews. Firstly, there appeared to be no attempt to consider checking-in before the check-in time of 14h00. Thankfully, I was allowed to leave my luggage in the luggage room however. The check-in process was not efficient but the worst was yet to come...........I was checked into a still... More

I stayed as part of a conference group, and I was expecting out-of-term student accommodation. I hadn't realised this was a nice hotel in its own right. Higher spec than my usual P~~~~~r Inn stays, and much more personal. All staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. In particular a big shout out to receptionist Justin. The... Doors banging all night, walls like paper, no air con and the bed is so hard I considered taking my duvet down onto the street and sleeping in an alley way. The staff are friendly and helpful but that doesn't make up for the awful nights sleep

I booked a stay here for a conference. Arrived at the check in time as advertised (2pm) and was told my room would not be ready until 3pm. I complained and they said that they would have a room ready by 2.30. Back at 2.30 and was told room still not ready. Asked if I could leave my luggage and... More

After passing through reception you are right to think that only 1/2 of this place is in the 21st century, with the other (clearly refurbished) half beaten into submission by merciless developers. Good parts are the dining rooms, bars, & meeting areas are very workable, clean & spacious. Breakfast buffet was fresh, clean & varied (fruit, cereal, full English etc)... More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a business trip. The first thing I noticed is how attentive the staff are. They really want to help and make sure you have everything you need. The room service was fast and the food was very tasty and arrived warm. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with iron and... More

I had booked a two night stay over a Friday and Saturday night so as to watch the T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston and to enjoy some quality food and drink. The first night was very pleasant and the room throughout was clean and comfortable. However, the second night was disastrous. The hotel had provided a dinner and disco... More

The Aston Conference Centre is perfect for any business traveler needing to stay in that part of the city with easy access to the Colmore Row area of the city and obviously Aston University. It is also well located for tourists wanting to wander into the centre of Birmingham. Checking in is quick although the building itself isn't especially easy... More
