booked in here as a last minute stay the night before I travelled. it seems to be up-grading all areas with decorating going on. it is clean and tidy. was a small single room but very comfortable. also has a private undercover garage for safe parking.

Firstly, this is a BUDGET hotel, if you think you are going to pay £60 a night in a city centre and expect more than budget accommodation you are going to be disappointed. I was VERY worried, having not booked the hotel myself (my dad did) and staying with grandparents plus a 4 year old. Yes the area surrounding is... More

We booked this hotel despite lots of bad reviews and horror photos - we did so because it was cheap, close to the city centre, and as we were planning to go to the cricket, then out for drinks, we literally needed somewhere to sleep. The place is run down and has years of "wear and tear" throughout - it's... More

On approach to the hotel we were worried as it was in a really rough area. There were refugees sat on the hotel door steps smoking weed. We were shown to our 3 rooms. All were basic. In our double room it was 2 single beds pushed together. There were no drawers to put our belongings in. The smoke detector... More

The first thing they don't tell you here is when you book in, if you pay cash they will demand a £40 cash deposit as security on the awful room they are about to give you. If you do not keep your receipt for this they will attempt to withold its return to you. This has to be one of... More

If you are pulling an all nighter at the Rainbow venues and need somewhere to crash for an hour and genuinely don't care where you lay your head, then sure, book a night here. Would probably be better to crash on someone's sofa though. This place is pretty much disgusting, falling to bits, absolutely filthy. Managed to get a cheap... More

Me and my sister were coming to B'ham for a spontaneous night out, so we looked online at available hotels for short notice and 'The Paragon' came up. The images online looked lovely so we went for it! When we arrived we went parked the car, as we pulled into the 'car park' (if that's what you can call it)... More

We arrived to a hotel in which there were gangs of people hanging outside, shouting and swearing! The lobby wasn't much better as when we arrived people were demanding their money back and complaining they had been checked into a room which was already occupied. Staff were not friendly and seemed very disorganised. The free parking looked to be an... More

Looks like a prison Reception nice and the girls on reception were absolutely lovely. Car park was disgusting as it was run down and didn't resemble a car park at all. I paid £55 for a twin room. the room was actually ok although a little small the beds were freshly made and a kettle/ hairdryer and TV were in... More

Like most of the other reviewers I can only echo every single word . We booked last minute as we decided to stay an extra day in Birmingham. We left our bags at the hotel in the morning as we were advised check in was 3pm . We returned to the hotel at 7 to be told our rooms were... More
