One of the few venues where we weren't restricted to the Christmas Menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal except one who had misread the menu and hadn't realised the Rabbit was a pasta dish. The Fillet steaks were very good and my colleagues raved about the Pork and the Turkey meals. Bit of a mix up with 2 of the starters...

We love Hotel du Vin. This one's location is in the middle of the city which is handy but also makes it quite noisy. The beds are comfortable, the bath is deep and pretty long, the rain shower is divine. However, there was dust around the back of the bath and cobwebs on the bathroom wall. The food is good...

We dine in the bistro on a Saturday night, we arrived early so had a drink in the bar . Cocktails are a little expensive but beautifully crafted I ordered at the bar and the drinks were brought over to us. We had nibbles which were presented nicely We were shown to our table and preceded to order. As it...

Dear Cooperken Thank you for such a detailed and descriptive review of your dining experience. I am very lucky to have such a caring team around me and thank you for highlighting their great service in your review. Elements of our menu and wine list are expensive (some of the wines are in the £0,000's as you know) but prices...

A lovely building, but when you look at the details in the rooms thy are in need of some care and attention. That said they were clean, the beds and pillow very comfortable. As ever with hotels the bar prices are very expensive, and the food quality is not great. Good staff.

We are constantly updating and improving the hotel with refurbishments; the carpets, decoration and comfy bed in your room being added within the last 12 months. However, we do use...

Stayed here for my sisters birthday party on Saturday night. A large party of us ate at the bistro and all found the menu very average and expensive. £30 for a fillet steak with no garnish other than French fries may be ok at a 5 star London hotel - but here, it's just massively overpriced, as is the wine...

Dear ClubClick Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. I have to say that £30 for a Cairnhill 28 day dry-aged Scottish Fillet Steak is a reasonable price in my opinion, particularly as we have other steaks starting at just £16.95 per head. However, it's certainly not acceptable that you...

Spent 2 nights here when in Birmingham for a conference. Hotel room was lovely and had everything you could need. Excellent bed. Wonderful duvet . . . not too heavy. Lovely shower. Great Miller Harris products. However the real bonus for me was to find staff who simply could not do enough to please and to help, from the ladies...

This was a birthday gift to my girlfriend. We stayed one night with dinner and breakfast included. We arrived around 22:00 and unfortunately did not get a chance to sit in the restaurant but the very bubbly receptionist was more than willing to get us the pre fix menu in our rooms. We opted for something quick, hamburger and fries...

Dear Nakul Thank you for your review. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall but clearly there were some unacceptable errors during your stay; not least that your girlfriend's birthday was not acknowledged. This is very unusual. I'm sure we can do better next time around . . Please drop me a note, next time you are...

I was looking for a great evening out to celebrate my wife's birthday. Just before New Year I had an offer from the Hotel du Vin in Birmingham: a two course meal for two with a bottle of the house wine for £39! Superb! Great staff, great food and excellent service. I don't know how long the offer lasts, but...
