Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel and an equally imposing building immediately next door (which must have been positively semi detached at the time they were built) are the oldest buildings for miles around.Entering the cul de sac that is the entrance road into the hotel you cannot help but notice overgrown hedges and a large formidably stark purple For Sale sign....

My boyfriend and I stayed here the weekend before Valentine's and I have to say the hotel was just simply beautiful. We booked through booking.com so got a very good rate and the payment was taken on us departing. We stayed in room 306 which was spacious and very clean it also gave us a lovely view from the front...

I had my wedding at the hall on 26th November. On the 25th November my maid of honour and I stayed overnight. The room was fabulous and dinner superb. Breakfast on my wedding day was cooked exactly as I asked for it. The wedding itself was perfect and the staff were wonderful. I wouldn't have changed a thing. My husband...

Its not often a hotel bowls me over but this building when you arrive knocks you off your feet! It's just amazing! Granted not all of the rooms are in the main building but its all very tastefully done with the different wings. I was in the Brew House. The rooms are very nicely done. I LOVE the beams in...

At last the hotel seems to be understanding the basics of good service and quality. An excellent cream tea served with freshly baked scones , lashings of cream , jam and even fresh raspberries. Tea pots refilled and even a pot of peppermint tea provided..extra brownie points for that! We loved the vintage china so much nicer than previous white...

The building and grounds looks beautiful. Check in was a smooth process, the room was small and in keeping with the character of the hotel. The bathroom was a good size and well appointed. Afternoon tea was lovely and the ambiance of the room created a relaxing experience. A good selection of sandwiches were provided even for non-meat eaters, the...

Room and bathroom were nice, clean and comfortable. Staff all good. My only quibble is the breakfast which is very expensive for poor quality - cheapo yoghurts, variety pack cereals, poor quality of food in the full English.

Looked at booking the Travelodge at Fort Dunlop, it was fully booked. Found this, don't think its on booking websites, called to make booking, very surprised at the rate, which was more than competitive. A great character hotel. Very friendly staff, very nice food. Clean rooms. A great find and would book again without hesitation if in that area again,...

A quiet hotel, bit dated in the sense of staircases but! Adds to the overall character of the hotel. It's got an amazing breakfast, and the attic room is amazing!!. Rooms in the brewers quarter are basic, the walk outside to reception /dining area is a bit awkward in the rain!. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

Stayed here to go to a concert at the NEC. Very convenient for getting to the NEC and into Birmingham from the International station. Very friendly staff, beautiful building, lovely room, we really couldn't fault our stay. Just what we needed, and a very reasonable price.
