The worst customer service ever experienced. Day manager Mohsin - terrible blasé attitude to work and had no intention of helping when asked. Night manager Adrianna - request for towels denied and came across very lazy. Day worker Eisha - seemed to have no clue what she was doing. Jury’s inn - you need to sort your staff out this is unacceptable. Would be an amazing hotel had the customer service been a bit better.

I know Birmingham well, or so I thought. The city is thriving. It is to host the Commonwealth Games 2022. There is a lot of work going on but that did not affect our time in the city centre. The colourful fountains outside Symphony Hall, the mix of music styles heard, ... it was, admittedly with the help of Mediterranean weather, almost like being back in Spain. Anyway, we were booked into the Jury's Inn on Broad Street. Access by road is a little awkward at present but that is all Commonwealth Games preparation. Josh on reception was efficient and friendly. I had booked for breakfast but COVID issues mean that it is still continental breakfast only. I cancelled breakfast. The room, a superior room, had a huge and very comfortable bed. After an evening wandering around the city centre and finding food we both had a great night's sleep. That is nothing new for me but my partner's ability to sleep in a new bed. She got more than 8 hours of sleep. Cool room and comfy bed. A great combination. The shower was great. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel is an ageing building but the hotel is great. There are nightclubs nearby which are noisy but the 11th floor was more than far enough to avoid any negative impact. A good choice. Pay parking cost £14.60 for about 18 hours.

The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance you can easily get to Victoria Square and new Street in less than 20 minutes. Great for bars and restaurants. The thing I hated most though was the tremendous and horrible noise of the lifts in my room. At the beginning, I thought it was wind, but the weather was gorgeous that day, and literally the noise they make is soooo so loud!! They make the same sound of wind blowing in the house when there is a heavy storm. Took me ages to sleep. I have noticed that this is an issue that has been raised by many other guests, therefore, I would advise the hotel to review PROPERLY what is wrong with these lifts and why they are making so much noise, it is in all the building. I also called reception to change room, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. I do not recommend this place if you want to sleep in a place that is not noisy, the only way to fall asleep in there is if you are so drunk and ready for immediate sleep.

The room was perfect the facilities ideal. My issues were finding the car park and also breakfast which we paid for, felt like a packed lunch and not good value. We arrived late due to cricket finishing later than hoped
