I stayed one night, location was perfect. I was delighted to get a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The bathroom was new and lovely, but the rest of the room, although very large, was dated and tired. Staff were pleasant and helpful. It was a Saturday night so there was quite a bit of noise from people leaving clubs in... More

Visited last weekend, the city was manic with the German market and Christmas shoppers. We arrived at midday and our room wasn't ready which was fair enough...the website does say 2pm check in. We dropped off our bags and went out into the mad throng to do some shopping. We went back at 3 and the room still wasn't ready... More

I stayed at the hotel to attend a works Christmas Party on 25 November. The room itself was lovely, could be updated better and the layout could be improved but it was clean and nicely decorated (not necessarily on a par with its competitors). However the party was the reason for my visit and this was really a letdown. The... More

My work department organised to come to the Burlington for our christmas party. The food was awful. I would have preferred a microwave meal. The main course meat tasted very cheap. The DJ was dreadful and all in all we were all very eager to just eat what we could and find somewhere better to go. The staff were very... More

Disappointing. The room was fine, but the bed was too small for two people, and because it dipped in the middle neither of us got much sleep. For some reason there was only one set of towels, so perhaps the room was intended for one person, which would have been fine. The location is great, right in the middle of... More

We were given a rather pokey room on the top floor of the hotel. It contained a 3/4 size double bed for two people which was far too small for two grown adults to share. The rest of the hotel was very nice with a superb location and excellent breakfast. The staff were all lovely and very helpful.

Hotel room a bit tired thought was expensive at £178 per night for a classic room .drinks cup of tea £4.55 and a beer £4.65 though was a tad dear. The staff however were excellent friendly professional and courteous. Fantastic location near train station and town centre, great breakfast.

Isaac Horton suite- decor is beautiful the hotel is very welcoming and full of Christmas spirit at the moment! Our room was stunning, few minor scuffs on the wall but this can be over looked as the room it self was very lovely! We had little chocolates and wine in the room also! I would definitely recommend! The only thing... More

Stayed here for one night as it is straight across the road from the New Street Train Station. Links to all major cities in the UK, as well as airport links. Stayed in a beautiful room on the third floor, lift available , room service was quick and food was delicious, will definitely be recommending to friends and family. I... More

I think this must have been an impressive hotel once. Brilliantly located next to New Street Station, with a rather grand lobby, the Burlington doesn't come close to the promise. It feels like conferences are it's raison d'etre now. My mattress had seen too many sumo wrestler, I think, and I spent the night teetering between indentations. Clean, functional and... More
