We have, as a group, been staying at this Hotel for a number of years. Being close to the Barclaycard Arena (formerly NIA) it has always served our purpose very well. However, this year we were appalled by the use of plastic cutlery, cardboard plates and plastic cups! Ever tried cutting and eating bacon with a plastic knife and fork???... More

Rude and pedantic receptionist. Charged £100 deposit for damages. Look at state of room! Small fan fire for heating and no hot water. Came to my hometown to see family. This hotel gone downhill since I stayed earlier in the year. Never stay here again and can't recommend it.

After original room smelt of tobacco smoke we asked to change at reception and were moved to a family room with much better facilities. Location excellent for Argentinian restaurant around corner. Could do with some TLC but overall good value for money.

I stayed with my wife on a trip overnight. It was very good value, free carparking and wifi, with a warm welcome. The main hotel area is modern, if a little clinical - but comfortable enough. The rooms are good, not 5* but really good value and very comfortable with everything you would expect. I will certainly stay again on... More

It was worth the money I left iphone in the room, however when I telephoned the hotel the cleaner had already left it at reception for us. The hotel was very quite even though it was next to a main road. Yes we would go back

Very friendly reception staff. Room basic but clean and comfortable which is all that I wanted. Unfortunately a minority of the other guests weren't very considerate the first night and we only managed about 2 hrs sleep. However as soon as we mentioned the issue to reception the next morning we were moved immediately to another part of the building... More

From the outside looks like a dodgy Council Block from The Bill. Doesn't improve as you enter. Paper thin walls with TVs blaring from next door. Seems to be the haunt of 'White Van Man' doors slamming all night, shouting on their mobiles in Polish. Screaming Chinese school kinds up half the night. You could not pay ME to stay... More

The hotel is excellent and real value for money. The suite was lovely and clean, comfortable beds, house keeping done daily. The staff in the reception and restaurant were excellent, very helpful nothing was any trouble to them. Although the hotel is on the main Hagley Road, we slept with the window open and had no problems sleeping. Free Wi-Fi.... More

We tried to book an affordable hotel for two nights as we were there to watch cricket semi finals and finals T20; always very exciting and fun day out; highly recommended it :) Unfortunately hotel did not meet my expectations; to much noise at night and old fashion; but I suppose you get what you paid for...
