From the outside looks like a dodgy Council Block from The Bill. Doesn't improve as you enter. Paper thin walls with TVs blaring from next door. Seems to be the haunt of 'White Van Man' doors slamming all night, shouting on their mobiles in Polish. Screaming Chinese school kinds up half the night. You could not pay ME to stay... More

The hotel is excellent and real value for money. The suite was lovely and clean, comfortable beds, house keeping done daily. The staff in the reception and restaurant were excellent, very helpful nothing was any trouble to them. Although the hotel is on the main Hagley Road, we slept with the window open and had no problems sleeping. Free Wi-Fi.... More

We tried to book an affordable hotel for two nights as we were there to watch cricket semi finals and finals T20; always very exciting and fun day out; highly recommended it :) Unfortunately hotel did not meet my expectations; to much noise at night and old fashion; but I suppose you get what you paid for...

The staff are efficient and friendly enough. They have to deal with stupid rules like £100 deposits (although I can tell this was subjective). I quite like the layout but in terms of a modern day hotel it doesn't really work. It's like a slightly nicer sleazy motel. The rooms have an aged feel to them and although they were... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night for business purposes. Upon reading the reviews, I had low expectations but kept an open mind regardless. First impressions weren't that great to be honest. The hotel, in my opinion, did not look Inviting and the buildings where the rooms were resembled a council block of flats. The car park at the... More

Stayed here for two nights, in Birmingham for a meeting, sure the fixtures and fittings could do with being updated and a lick of paint wouldn't hurt, but if you want plush pay for a plush hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower was excellent, friendly helpful staff close to the city centre a couple of nice... More

I was in Birmingham with a colleague for a Thursday conference. The hotel we booked had trouble with out reservation and there were no hotels in the centre of Birmingham with availability. This hotel had two room - now I know why. The hotel looks like a block of council flats. The rooms were tiny and dated, although clean. This,... More

My partner and I were due at the ECB early on Sunday morning, so had an overnight stop at The Apollo Saturday night. The hotel was extremely comfortable. The restaurant was not open on Saturday evening but there was a vast amount of "eateries" only a few minutes down the road. We had a substantial breakfast on Sunday morning, which... More
