We recently bought a deal with hotel stays for Cadbury world and this hotel was included in the deal for a family of four. Free car parking is always a bonus in a busy area such as Edgbaston. The hotel reception and lounge/bar is beautiful. The room we were given was slightly tired, but clean, spacious, light and comfortable with... More

we stayed in this hotel (family of four) while visiting Cadbury World. Hotel is very old fashioned, but adequate for short stay (not more than 1 or 2 nights), furniture in the room are very old, not well maintained. So be careful when opening the doors of cupboards or wardrobes, room telephone did not work (we did not bother reporting... More

Was a lovely stay and a nice hotel. We were in the old part of the hotel and it was nice and clean but the old wood made the room very dark and the plumbing didnt work in our room. The breakfast wasnt very nice but it was hot and set us up for the day. Nice hotel but not... More

The room was very well presented and very clean, the staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble.they did light lunches and a full a le carte menu big garden to sit in with a nice drink from the bar which was very reasonably priced, they also have themed weekends to which i will be going to,i.e faulty towers, murder mystery... We stayed in the un refurbished part of the hotel in two interconnecting rooms: it was as clean as it could be but there's nothing that can be done for the ingrained mould on the walls or bathroom ceiling except for major investment. The condition of the cuboards and desk area was also bed, stained, marked and in need of... More

Very nice and clean hotel, about 10 minutes taxi ride from the centre of Birmingham. The bar tenders provided excellent service. The only reason I didn't give it full 5 stars is that there is room for improvement with the breakfast and service at breakfast, however I would recommend this hotel if you looking to stay in the area

I visited sunday afternoon (10th July 2016) for afternoon tea and i was not disappointed, very comfortable and relaxing and the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The food was really tasty and surprisingly filling. I would recommend this to family and friends and we will be returning.

I have had afternoon tea at different venues and must say this was the best one. The building is old but it is an historic building with some lovely features. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, especially Gloria who was lovely. First class service and plenty of sandwiches and cakes. Certainly will be going again.

Eventually found the entrance just off a busy main road The place looked tired from the outset, - but hey it might be nice inside. no such luck! The interior was a drab as the outside My room was shocking with mould on the window reveals (pictures)and scratched furniture The place could do with shutting and about £3 million spending... More

this hotel had lots of charm from day 1. It didn't disappoint..The staff are excellent and go out their way to make your stay a good one. Nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding co-coordinator, Sereen was lovely and just made things happen. The day itself was hassle free, didn't have to think about anything. Aron, was the perfect co-coordinator on... More
