First the staff. Some are pleasant and friendly....the breakfast staff are good, but reception staff when booked in were short and rude but others pleasant. Bar staff one helpful member but others really give the impression that they don't care and told by one couldn't eat from restaurant menu in the bar...which is nonsense. The rooms are a long way...

We were put in a bar with access to the street which random people walked off this was like an old mans pub. The buffet was gone no christmas decorations and a dance floor...

On arrival we were told we could not eat in the restaurant as the was a wedding and a function taking place but could get food in the bar. Room 1 stank of damp so we were offered room 2 which had a used towel and soap in the bathroom. The room was dirty and dusty although at least the...

I was staying at the hotel overnight as I was there attending my friends wedding 3rd December. The Staff from the receptionist, housekeeping, the staff sorting out the wedding were helpful and polite. The ceremony and food were great, I enjoyed myself. My room was far away from reception, no lift - a member of staff did offer did offer...

Booked on a popular 'trip and hotel' experience site which included 1 night stay, free taxi to Frankfurt Christmas Market and complimentary breakfast. Found relatively easily and nice to have safe 'off road' parking. Front of hotel looks lovely from outside with large lawn area at rear. Got to reception and found lady covering front desk was lovely. A wedding...

We booked this hotel as everywhere else was booked up due to the german market. On arrival it looked nice. We checked in and was told it was just the room we had booked and not breakfast even though my email confirmation said I had booked it! So after a bit of an argument with receptionist she added it on...

Booked this hotel for a long weekend, mainly due to the price and location. Would I stay there again, probably not, not unless there was absolutely no where else to stay. the hotel is old, the entrance tells you that, the lobby toilets scream of it. Being an old building there is no lift to the upper floors, which in...

This looks like a lovely posh hotel, and very quick check in. But as soon as i asked about a access to our room for my disabled mother, with a reply of "go outside, through the car park and in through the back entrance". I started to get my doubts. We booked in april and requested a carers room (next...

The old part of this hotel has got some charm - admitted. However - if you get expelled to the "new" part of this hotel, what awaits you (after walking along narrow collidors for what feels like a mile) is a sad mixture of outdated furniture, torn wall-paper, and damp and smelly rooms. It would be nice to say that...

A warm welcome and traditional hospitality awaits guests at the Plough and Harrow Hotel Birmingham. Built in 1704, originally as a wayside inn, the hotel has over the centuries become steeped in history and is recalled by many as being one of the most popular places to stay in Birmingham during the last few decades.
