I booked this guest house through booking.com for a one night stay prior to going to an exhibition at the NEC. As we would be travelling from Plymouth to Birmingham after I finish work on the Friday night and couldn't guarantee what time our arrival would be. With this in mind I called the guest house to confirm our booking... More

This place is a bit like staying at your grandma's. Everything feels a bit like a nursing home but Michael and Marlene are lovely. My room was small and with an external bathroom but was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great (and huge!). I like to try out new places each time I am in Birmingham for work so... Michael and Marlene are very warm, inviting hosts who ensure that their guest house is comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The house is on a very busy road, which can create street noise for rooms in the front, and keeping windows closed is not always helpful or possible (there was a heat wave when I stayed). However, it also means the... More

I had a wonderful welcome off Michael and the room was spotless and comfortable. The loo seat was broken which I mentioned to Michael and he said he's fix it . Parking was hit and miss by the time I got back from work as there was a big van taking up most of the remaining space. I had a... More

Couldn't have asked for a nicer or more friendly bed and breakfast. The place was spotless and very comfortable. There is a bit of noise from the main road so earplugs may be advised if you are a light sleeper but I can't fault it at all. They even got up early to let me get breakfast as I had... More

I had no problems whatsoever at this hotel. The owners were lovely, the hotel was clean and I had a good night's sleep due to a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again as it's very convenient for Birmingham Airport.

We only stayed for one night, wished it could have been longer. Thank you Marlene and Michael for a lovely stay, great people. We had a twin room at the front of the house, even though we was at the front you could not hear the duel carriageway traffic. But I would say still take ear plugs, for a good... More

We stayed at the B&B last night 24/3/16. It was my Brother in law's 60th Birthday. Marlene & Michael who own the B & B are two lovely people. We stayed in the twin room No: 2. It was cosy & warm ideal for the meal that was booked at the Jilabi Indian Restaurant. We had the key to the... More

I stayed for one night for a visit to the NEC and was welcomed and made to feel at home.Mike showed me to my room and pointed out everything I needed which you don't get in a hotel and although the room was facing a very busy dual carriageway I slept really well in a very clean and comfortable bed,... The Central Guesthouse is an ideal place to stay. It is next to one of the main roads into Birmingham. It takes about 20 minutes by slow and about 10 minutes by fast bus to the city centre. The four-lane road outside the guesthouse makes very little noise. I stayed there for two nights and I slept very well. The... More
