3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My husband and I stayed for one night with our three grandchildren after a visit to Cadbury World. The room was a good size and the beds were clean but the carpet was filthy and the room smelt like a cross between wet dogs and smelly trainers, hence I didn't sleep and couldn't wait to leave. The breakfast was fine... More

I didn't expect all of these free service here , cuz when I make the book it was so cheap , very cozy place and good atmosphere to make friends around worldwide,a lot of solo travelers here , but the problem is you can't stay here more than 2 weeks .

The common area is absolutely wonderful! I chose the cheapest solution - the 10 pound bed in a 24 bed room. best decision, it was a room with smaller rooms inside (basement level) each small room had only 4 beds in it, which was quite ok, not much noise. Make sure you bring your own towel and UK wall plug... More

We arrived through walking through an incredibly run down area of Birmingham, and arrived to find our private room of 2 bunk beds for 4 had not been cleaned from the previous night, even though we arrived after the stated check in time. We reported it, and went out whilst someone cleaned it, leaving our luggage behind. We returned 6... More

Room was OK, no more. Just what they offer. The only problem is if you coincide with some impolite people. But the hostel is not guilty for it. Excellent breakfast and facilities and the staff was 24/7 available.

Booked a party of four Brits (three girls/one lad in mid-twenties) into the 24-person basement room. Really cute place. Very clean, good amenities, close to city centre with great bus/train/driving connections. Only criticisms are the weird smells (yes, plural), no curtains nor blinds, and the heat! A bit of air con and a curtain or two, and this place would... More

Booked a private 4-person bunk room at the weekend.. it was very small, no window to open and the light in the bathroom was on a motion sensor which was broken, consequently we were consistently woken up through the night by the light coming on.

really disappointed with my stay here. When booking i decided to give a hostel a go as i have never stayed in one before and from the pictures provided of the rooms it didn't look so bad. I booked a private room with en-suite so paid almost double what you would pay for when staying in a shared dorm room.... More

There is not even an oven for use in the kitchen, and the guy at the reception does not bother to answer any questions. He is always checking his phone, while talking to you impatiently (the guy with a beanie hat). Other staff members were okay. The bedrooms were in the basement. Very noisy at night. The location is not... More
